Talent is everywhere in Nigeria. 🇳🇬

Our students are brilliant, hardworking, and capable of competing on a global stage. But talent needs support, resources, and opportunities to grow.

Seeing Nigeria lose its place in the International Maths Olympiad is heartbreaking because behind every competition are students who have prepared, dreamed, and hoped to represent their country.

This is bigger than one competition. It is a reminder that education needs more attention, investment, and action.

@nig.education our students deserve a system that supports their potential and allows them to shine.

Education should not just be talked about. It should be prioritized. 📚

This one might sting small.

We cannot outsource reading culture to schools alone.

We tell children to read, but do they see us reading? Do they have access to books they enjoy? Are we making reading feel like a punishment or something they can genuinely love?

And this isn’t about blaming parents or teachers. Schools have a role to play, parents have a role to play, and so do libraries, communities and all of us who care about reading.

But perhaps we also need to look at the example we set.

Parents, when last did your child see you reading for pleasure?

And if you grew up loving books, who or what first introduced you to reading?

Let’s be honest in the comments. We want to hear your stories.

A child being in school is one thing.

A child actually learning to read is another.

So where are we falling short? 📚🇳🇬
