On the 28th of May 2024, our D-ACAS Women had the privilege of visiting the Dream Catchers Academy in celebration of Children’s Day 2024.

Our Partner, Josephine Udonsak, Senior Counsel, Chidera Chikere and Deborah Kalu, and Associate Counsel, Samson Julius attended the Nigeria Energy Leaders Summit 2026, organised by the The Energy Year last week at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos.

During the event, Josephine joined other industry leaders for a panel discussion on “Nigeria’s Energy Growth Reset: From Upstream Reform to Gas-Led Industrial Growth”. The panel brought together perspectives on project delivery, local expertise, energy infrastructure and gas development.

As part of her contribution to the discussion, Josephine emphasised the importance of early project preparation, stakeholder engagement, and a clear understanding of regulatory and financing requirements in delivering successful energy projects.

The panel also highlighted some of the key issues shaping Nigeria’s energy sector, including access to funding, infrastructure development and the need for an enabling regulatory environment.

These discussions come at an important time for Nigeria’s upstream sector, as operators and investors navigate the opportunities and challenges associated with asset development, financing, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.
