It was just a flier that was sent. Yet another google form I filled. I realized it wasn’t free but that didn’t matter to me. Whatever it would cost , I’d made up my mind to be there. Had to eventually work extra to pay the fee. Glad I did. That’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. On Sunday, I eventually attended the @thelifeseriesng event organized by the legendary @ibukunawosika on Sunday. It didn’t take so long to realize that it was definitely the right place to be. She literally gave us gifts by bringing two incredible humans to speak to us - Mr Asue Ighodalo of @banwoandighodalo and Mr Sola Adepetun of @acaslaw. From Mr. Ighodalo’s question which centered on the longevity of Nigerian companies and exposed how many organizations in Nigeria haven’t had long term plans to Mr. Adepetun’s advice on Consistency and clarity of vision in a chosen field to Mrs Awosika’s overwhelming emphasis on the long term plan and building a brand with very firm value systems, those were 6 hours of absolute truth, wisdom and inspiration. It’s a lifetime of gratitude to these great ones. You changed a life on Sunday and in time, the results will be evident.

NIMASA confirming that drilling rigs and strictly drilling operations are not subject to Nigeria’s Cabotage Act, narrowing regulatory reach over offshore energy activity. The judgment resolves long-standing uncertainty over whether offshore drilling falls within coastal shipping rules, drawing a clear legal distinction between drilling operations and maritime transport activities. The ruling is expected to ease compliance burdens and reduce regulatory risk for offshore operators, with implications for investment confidence in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector amid broader capital constraints.
