The Acce10x team successfully facilitated the Grow, Connect, Thrive program at the American Corner Manzini, connecting young professionals in Eswatini with practical knowledge about the global remote work economy and international career opportunities.

Participants explored remote career pathways in Customer Support, Virtual Assistance, Sales, Graphic Design, Data, Technology, Digital Marketing, AI & Automation, and Project/Operations Support.

The program focused on helping participants to:
• Identify a remote career path
• Turn their skills into services for the global market
• Build stronger CVs and LinkedIn profiles
• Find legitimate remote opportunities and avoid scams
• Prepare for international virtual interviews
• Use AI responsibly for productivity and career development
• Create a practical 30-day action plan

One of the key messages from the program was:

“You should be selling your skills to an employer not buying a job from an employer.”

We were especially proud to have Mbali Mahlalela, an Acce10x Connect Academy alumna, contribute to the program and give back to her community.

Acce10x Connect Academy Day 1 Report
Empowering Edo State NYSC Members through SoftTech Skills Development

The Acce10x Connect Academy successfully launched its free training program, designed to equip Edo State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members with soft tech skills for remote customer support positions in USA-based companies.

· 134 corp members participated live at Benin City Window on America, demonstrating strong interest in the program.
· Training was led by Edmund Omoaruna, Executive Officer of Acce10x, who shared valuable insights and expertise.

Partnerships and Collaborations

The program’s success is attributed to the collaborative efforts of key partnering organizations, including:

· Edo State Ministry of Youths Development
· NYSC Edo State
· Benin City Window on America
· Game4Empowerment

Exhibition and Opportunities

· An exhibition by Benin City Window on America showcased opportunities in the United States that corp members can benefit from after service.
· The Head (SAED) encouraged youth corp members to participate actively in achieving the program’s aims.

Program Details

· Free training in soft tech skills for remote customer support positions.
· Online classes will continue for all participants, ensuring flexibility and accessibility.

· Participants will continue to receive training and support through online classes.
· Acce10x Connect Academy will work closely with partnering organizations to ensure program success.

The Acce10x Connect Academy is committed to empowering NYSC members with employable skills, enhancing their socio-economic prospects and contributing to the development of Edo State. With the support of partnering organizations, we are confident that this program will make a positive impact on the lives of participants.
