I am so excited to say that I received the Nessa Cohen Grant at @aslnyc (The Art Students League of New York). A $5,000 award and a tuition-free scholarship for an entire year. I've been doing a work-study there for the past two years, and couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to continue my practice under #haksullee @natsukiuji @damien_vera @cjdufton and all the many artists I've met at that gorgeous and historic institution. Here's a video of young Myat Moondog outside the Brooklyn Museum as he navigates across space. It reminded me of how much I never know about things and how much I can enjoy the unexpected randomness if I just keep at it. Let's see what my imagination, heartbreak, love, and desperation tells me to do next.
Annnnddddd, I also wanna congratulate @pemakingpin on her grant (and thanks for your generous spirit!) as well as @gretaartist and @studiohamburg for their scholarships! by @accidentaleffort

Valentine's Day with #MyatMoondog and @dannyhole... We were lucky enough to go and visit the studio/home of artists @jenniejieunlee and @grahamcollins and glaze some clay. Will return at some point to pick up the fired pieces. Artwork in every nook and cranny. The way we love it. They've even made a rocket kiln. Best dirty dish-filled sink in the world. Brilliant, Lovers! Photos by @dannyhole taken in Catskill Mountains by @accidentaleffort

With well worked, glaze-coated fingers, #MyatMoondog still super loves feeling around the incredible @jenniejieunlee artwork at her Catskills studio. Video by @dannyhole by @accidentaleffort
