Book review

My thoughts

I absolutely loved this book and Chilton’s relaxed writing style made the story feel wholly realistic and very true to life. The book is written in a comical manner and the humour hits from the very first page. Chilton even killed the characters off in a funny way although I won’t ruin that for others - no spoilers here!
I really enjoyed the dual timeline and the format in which the “before” timeline was written; that of both dialogue and prose made this, for me, a quick and easy read.
The characters were well developed with the Van Battens being despicably dislikable and the FMC Hazel showing up for every spurned feminist being as spunky as hell. You really rooted for her, especially when you found out her history and when the twist hit, I’ll admit, I did not see coming.
I’d recommend this read to those who enjoy a locked room mystery with a large sprinkle of humour attached. I’ve certainly added Chilton’s “Don’t Swipe Right” to my ever growing TBR.

Well, this was a bloody good read! Thanks so much @ace.book.tours for allowing me to join this book tour

This is a great locked in thriller with plenty of humour and who-dunnit throughout. It’s such an easy read and had me giggling at times and shocked when another body was found!

The AI element was such a clever touch, and I loved the idea of using CILLA to find your perfect match. And you know what? I even found myself enjoying the romance side of things, which surprised me a little given the cast of shady, morally grey characters!

This is the first book by this author that I’ve read and it certainly won’t be the last. I cannot wait to add Don’t Swipe Right and Everyone In The Group Chat Dies to the top of my tbr.

My Review

There is just one way to describe this book, absolutely brilliant. If you love locked room (well snowed in airport) vibes with a fantastically witty plot that will have you giggling at the same time as you're trying desperately to work out the culprit as yet another brilliant twist is thrown in then this is absolutely the book for you. It also has vibes of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None which is one of my favourite ever books.

It has a brilliantly fast pace and great if morally questionable characters and is so addictive and gripping I read it in an afternoon. I can't wait to read more my Luke now.

I Think We Should Kill Other People ~ L.M. Chilton

A runaway bride, an AI dating experiment, a snowstorm and a murder mystery… all at a small Norwegian airport where nobody can escape. What could possibly go wrong? 😂❄️

Hazel and Marc are meant to be the perfect match after being paired through an AI social experiment. But Hazel bolts before saying “I do” and heads for the airport, only to find herself stranded alongside her potential in-laws, the groom-to-be and the TV director. And when murder enters the picture, things get even more complicated! 👀

I loved the idea of CILLA, a computer-generated love matchmaker worn as a watch that listens in to your conversations and helps you find your perfect match. Although, I spent a fair bit of the book hearing Cilla Black in my head shouting “Surprise Surprise!” 😂

This was a fun, twisty murder mystery with plenty of humour, family drama and some rather questionable matchmaking. I found it entertaining, and I’m still thinking about what a waste of Toblerone! (IYKYK 🍫😂)

This is definitely one to pick up if you fancy something fun and twisty. I’ll happily read more from this author!
