Documentary coming soon. 🎥
Yesterday we got some dope footage with Ace & Tajh for Tajh’s documentary, following his journey through his Achilles injury and everything that comes with it.
But towards the end of the shoot, something happened that had nothing to do with the documentary—and honestly, that became one of my favorite moments of the night.
A 20-year-old kid came over and started asking questions. He’s new to the game, has a goal of competing, and wants to eventually make a calisthenics team.
Little did he know, he was standing in front of over 30 years of experience between the three of us. Me and Tajh have been doing this for 6 years, and Ace has been in the game for over 20.
The guys started giving him routines, advice, different perspectives and gems he could actually take with him. And he was absorbing everything.
At that point, I wasn’t even part of the conversation. I was just behind the camera, watching and collecting the moment.
It reminded me how important mentorship and guidance are for the younger generation. Sometimes you don’t need to overcomplicate it.
Show up. Do the work. Stay consistent. Let the results speak.
The outside noise won’t matter if you know what you’re putting into the work every day.
That moment at the park last night was memorable for all of us.
And honestly, I wouldn’t want to surround myself with men who don’t lead like my brothers. 🤝🏾
