Happy ‘For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)’ Release Day! 🦢

We have limited copies of the album on the limited indie exclusive edition pressed on ‘Frosted Shadow’ vinyl that perfectly mirrors the album’s artwork by Pak Bae now ON-HAND and READY TO SHIP 📦👀

Produced by Blake Mills (Perfume Genius, Fiona Apple), the fourth full-length album from beloved indie-pop sensations Japanese Breakfast (@jbrekkie) is lush and layered with intricate musical arrangements that feel simultaneously as whimsical as it does introspective.

With credit to Michelle Zauner’s penchant for storytelling, every track on this record is rich with experience — moving from page to melody to encapsulate listeners into the gorgeous world that she’s conjured up for this album. Highest of recommendations for this one! 🖤

The first few orders will come with limited posters until supplies last! Message us for orders and inquiries! 📩

It’s been a while since we showcased a new entry for the #AcetateArt series, yet we’re extremely proud to present the work of one of our favorite local talents, Gianne Encarnacion @pngianne 💛

Gianne Encarnacion is an artist, illustrator and printmaker based in Manila. Her work is ornate, nostalgic and a fantasy that's still rooted in reality. She is influenced by the environment she grew up in, her childhood interests and her family. When she's not drawing, she designs for science communication, or prints in Risograph.

With this #AcetateArt series, we want to highlight the very best of local talent here in the Philippines—with each artist creating their own take on the theme of our modern day connection with music (particularly with vinyl records!) We’ve enlisted the help of a number of talented Filipino artists for this series, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the next entry coming soon! 👀👀

Each entry in this growing series will be distributed FOR FREE to our customers through a collectible postcard as our gesture of appreciation for all the support all of you have showered us these past two years. You can expect distribution of this artwork within the next few weeks! 🥳🎉 by @acetatemusic

Here we have another dreamy #AcetateArt entry, this time created by the phenomenal Patt Abutog @pattpiha 💭💫

Born and raised in Manila, Pattpiha is a full-time graphic designer and visual artist by heart. She often doodles on whatever medium she puts her hands on, merging distorted anatomical figures and organic forms, with strong vibrant colors and soft pastels, and free-flowing lines akin to what you would see in someone else's journal. Her work often reflects on themes of her personal ramblings, the female body with its raw and uncanny features, and an aesthetic bordered between ugly and pretty, all wrapped in one unsettling package. She’s currently building her music collection alongside her father’s massive catalog of CDs and vinyl. 💿🎶

With this #AcetateArt series, we want to highlight the very best of local talent here in the Philippines—with each artist creating their own take on the theme of our modern day connection with music (particularly with vinyl records!) We’ve enlisted the help of a number of talented Filipino artists for this series, so stay tuned for more artworks to come in the near future 👀

Each entry in this growing series will be distributed FOR FREE to our customers through a collectible postcard as our gesture of appreciation for all the support all of you have showered us these past two years. With the first few copies already printed out, expect random distribution of this artwork to come with your next order! 🥳🎉

Next in our #AcetateArt series, we are proud to present this stunning artwork crafted by one of the most promising local artists today, Anna Bautista! 🎨🖼

Anna Bautista (b.1997) is a Manila-based visual artist whose works tackle the concept of time, culture, and philosophy, and how these elements are interlinked and constantly responding to each other.
Her work is marked by painterly brushstrokes, and she describes her art style as the application of patches of color that build up to a bigger picture, similar to her view of life as an amalgamation of incremental moments and experiences that make up time. “Since Bautista’s first solo exhibition in 2019, she has been continuously showing her work in solo and group exhibits around the Philippines and Indonesia.

With this #AcetateArt series, we want to highlight the very best of local talent here in the Philippines—with each artist creating their own take on the theme of our modern day connection with music (particularly with vinyl records!) Each entry in this growing series will be distributed FOR FREE to our customers through a collectible postcard as our gesture of appreciation for all the support all of you have showered us with these past two years. This piece is strictly limited to only 50 numbered pieces, and will be distributed at random until supplies last. ✨💫

Next up in our #AcetateArt series, we are proud to present this stunning piece illustrated by Xandro Miguel @artbyxandro 🎨💙

Xandro Miguel creates pieces that bring together minimalist art and maximalist elements in such a way that the colors are eye-catching. His works consist of a female muse with a lazed expression on her face. This muse was an inspiration that the artist gathered from the female figures that surrounded him in his childhood. In fact, Xandro himself likes to call his muse “Tita” since these were the women that he grew up with. To add, the female muse also takes influence from Xandro’s interest in drag and the art of drag.
