My set on @centralonair from March 19 is now streaming on YouTube. Link in the bi🕳️me. Click 4 a good time. Enjoy these mix and vibe highlights, and tracklist!

I was so physically drained here. I had a nasty, multi-hour bout with food poisoning the night before, hadn’t slept well, and was still very much recovering electrolytes in the depths of a somatically demanded fast. After vomiting for 3+ hours the night before I started fearing the possibility of not being able to play, but I managed to press through. Getting there was the hardest part. The music and adrenaline carried me through after that! I still felt innovative enough to create a new hair configuration based on recent ponytail styles, which also lifted my mood.

Many thanks to @lilithnsid of @centralonair for hosting me well. Shoutout to bestie @ohthankyousomuch, who came out to hang out & support me, and @badbabezdj, who played after me. They tore it tf up! This studio storefront feels like a DJ cultural hub where many ideas and styles are being displayed and exchanged. I’m psyched to meet so many diversely talented DJs and to contribute my offerings ❤️ taken in Central Square, Cambridge by @achaziyah

After kicking myself about not recording it at Beltane, I’ve finally played and recorded it again in the comfort of my living room. It was a major time travel to play Bmore club for the fae. I went from singing along at age 7 on a hot mic as my father held me up to it at the block party, to deejaying it in the full splendor of whom I’ve become as an adult — trippy. What an honour!

The dancefloor energy was unmatched. Even though I made sure to wear exactly what I wore at Beltane, the mesh has some additional holes because I threw ass SO HARD. It was a top 10 life experience for me. I was sober, I didn’t have a setlist, but instead I had a set ‘crate’. I misplaced my usb & thought maybe this set will never see the light of day, but @1_800_your_girlfriend was a doll & mailed it to me, & I looked at the history file to see the song order of the performance. I played several more tunes for your pleasure in this deluxe version. Special thx to @iamsamdanish @die___ego & @lookingn2oblivion for rooting for me, and to everyone who danced and interacted with me that night. Y’all made it unforgettable, truly 💓

Please enjoy the carousel, which consists of some of my fav moments & reactions that friend had while we were in the living room! taken in Somerville, Massachusetts by @achaziyah

In anticipation of @astrocnt tonight, I’m going down memory lane to the first time I played back in June. It was a dynamic 4 hours! I decided to wear silks because I needed great ventilation and temp regulation for all the jumping up n down I was doing. One of my most enthusiastic dancefloor companions kept glowing on me with a refrain that’s now inculcated in my brain: “you’re on fire all night long!”

Come out tonight and treat yourself to some high quality dancefloor activation therapy, where you can let go and be celebrated for doing so.

Much of the queer panopticon parties at ManRay! THIS Thursday, you can find the (t/g)enderqueers with taste; who love leather and lace; dance floor euphoria and bass in their face!

Achaziyah returns to take the @astrocnt helm @manrayclub from 9pm-1am on October 15 for a lascivious leather and laced dance night. Are you ready to go to a galaxy far, far beyond? Strap up and strap in!

Have you touched grass today? If not, make sure you do before I serve a journey of lush soundscapes for the month of October on the Green Program, streaming tonight, starting at 10pm on wzbc.org. I’ll be live in the studio! If you miss the broadcast, you can catch it on The Green Program’s Mixcloud page tomorrow, and by the time I post a mix recap, the high quality version, recorded straight from my turntable, will be on Soundcloud.

Tonight I’m doing special bday shouts out to all my favourite Libras, and i just may talk a bit about how the current astrological weather is affecting me (Venus in Scorpio: natal placement) and how this ties in to global and interpersonal relations. As always, I’ll ask an existential question for you to answer and ruminate about over the course of the show and beyond. Be sure to tune in! As always, thank you for listening 💚

Tonight (Oct 5): 10pm-1am EST, 22:00-01:00 EST

Sun makes you feel better

@soundcloud why aren’t your geoblockers working? Every time I set it and save, it resets when I go back to the edit, regardless of the country I put. This is just the “country” I choose to block. Is there something we should know about? 👀 Tell the class. I don’t pay $17 a month to rely on features that don’t work. taken in WZBC-FM (Newton) by @achaziyah

I’m so grateful to do what I love with whom I love. This summer season was a masterclass in just that. Wiggle and jiggle it to my mix I played out in the forest at Twin Ponds, 2 weeks before Labor Day — now playing on SoundCloud. Enjoy the following clips that should motivate you further to listen to this nastyyy, sumptuously sacral set.

Now playing on SoundCloud. Do I really have to say where the link is?

Who, me? I’m just wearing my heels to the lodge of the men’s club, getting a lil leg workout before hitting the sauna. Everyday is leg day, ya know.

When I say I’m going deep into the woods to give a nasty DJ set, this is what I mean! Please enjoy these clips of some of my fav moments of my Lammas set, take what you need, and hear the full mix on SoundCloud. You know where to find it. I went over the river, thru the woods and upon a meadow to give it to em good.

The moon was full, the night was long, and the energy was high. What an honour and privilege it was to close the week out on such a note. We threw a whole lotta ass out there.

Until next time, lovely fae. Have a lovelee dae 🌞

Don’t fcuk a fasc¡st. That dick ain’t worth it.

I’ve recorded my September selections for the Green Program for your enjoyment. As you swipe, you’ll hear a collection of emotional moments along the way. I played an open format mix this go round, because I was relaxed and in reflection of the past weekend I had. This was actually the third set I played in a series of the 3 days of Labor Day weekend. I played almost 6 hrs the day before (longest I’ve played so far!) and close to 3 hrs the day before that. Of course, each of them have distinct energies, as the occasions were each different.

Please find this on SoundCloud via one of those links in my bio to hear this 3 hrs of magic in full. I wasn’t reflecting my summer by playing music I had played over the summer, yet I rather used the music as a vehicle with which to contemplate my summer experiences.

💚, Achaziyah

DJ Marky & XRS ft. Stamina MC - “Lk (Carol Carolina Bela)”

“I’m gonna do all the things for you a girl wants a man to do.”

DJ Marky & XRS ft. Stamina MC - “Lk (Carol Carolina Bela)” … I love this chopped up bossa moment, and love hearing people sing in Portuguese bc the cadence and flow of the words x the nasality of the vowels really amplify the singer’s connection to the subject matter for me, especially via the tonal/inflection choices. He sounds unfettered and in love, and I love to be in love.

A sexy moment. Electric shimmers. This song eventually brings you out of the chrysalis, teeming with life, but with a measured, reserved energy on (deep) tap

Maximum plurosity!! I was so fortunate and heart-filled to have experienced Honcho with my babe, the man behind the camera (slides 1 and 3 ofc). I didn’t take any pictures or pull my phone so far as out of the tent, but what I DID do was enjoy being fully present as much as I could. Special thanks to @clarkdprice & QFF for holding me down and lifting me up. I couldn’t have asked for a better QFF buddy, @naxo9999 😍💙. I’m so happy to have been in the company of so many bad bitches…I’ve been doing reconnaissance for a month to make sure I find as many people I met as possible. I felt safe with so many queer BIPOC around me, and finding out about many of y’all after the festival got me like 😳 in the best way. From meeting people I’ve only met online, to seeing friends I didn’t know would be there and acquaintances that were off my radar, but still made immediate sense, I truly felt like I had the best time. Dancing, sliding, rocking & shaking, squatting & throwin dat, sliding & skating around in that glorious Hemlock Hole mud and under the lights in the Grove, witnessing the technical mastery, whimsy & fabulosity of @theillustriousblacks & @ty_ushka while happily burning every calorie I put in my body all made the experience so unforgettably worth it.

Thank you to every friend, current and new, every dancer, set designer, to @_violetflux for the genius level lighting, the roster of DJs & performers (@passa.flora, @la.rinor, @jaykayprime, @divolisvere, @ty_ushka tore a portal open and so many of us jumped thru it…2.5 of the best hours of my life spent. Special thx also to @angelabaskets, @msbattygyal, @nickboydnyc, @mysticbill, @djnita, @sterlingjuandiaz, @ssoouurrss, @scotia_trax, @analog_soul_ , @suze.ijo, @charleneincarnate, @oddlyyvie, @papijuicebk, & @sam___hooker who played a sensory ambient set late at night that gave me waves of goosebumps into tears as the sonic textures & tones triaged my DNA whilst laying in a hammock, holding hands with @nickafor & Pussywillow.)

I could go on and on, but the point is that I went to Honcho on a mission to hear, see, dance to, and commune with some of the best of the best, and I so appreciate their artistry.

Fabulous and painful things have been afoot for me this summer. I invite you to reflect on yours as we approach the midpoint. My July session of the Green Program is now available in full on SoundCloud for your relaxation and rejuvenation. Relaxing sounds easy but it isn’t always. Rejuvenation is a choice that we don’t always get to make when we need to make it. This 3-hr sonic adventure is to promote healing to whomever needs it. Let the sounds of Roland Clark, Goldfrapp, Shanti Celeste, Chris Korda, Miguel Migs, Jesse Bru, & so many more open your sonic psyche enough for you to cultivate new tools with which you can adequately process what you and we are currently experiencing 🌸💚

Have you ascended to your self-prescribed next level yet? What has delayed you if not? Talk about it in the comments if you want. taken in WZBC-FM (Newton) by @achaziyah
