☀️ Program Partner Spotlight: Soléco Energy | Jamaica

We’re excited to partner with @soleco.energy , Jamaica’s largest commercial solar developer, for The GREEN Program’s Climate Finance & Investing for a Sustainable Environment learning experience in Jamaica.

As part of the program, participants will visit CB Group Ltd.’s @mycbgroup hatchery to explore a 300 kWp solar installation and learn how solar energy can support large-scale agricultural operations with #agrivoltaics and integrated farming methods. Through direct engagement with their teams, we’ll examine how renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and innovative financing intersect to accelerate clean energy adoption.

🇯🇲 The bigger picture: Jamaica aims to generate 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Achieving this goal requires more than deploying technology. It means mobilizing capital, developing accessible financing models, and building partnerships that move projects from ambition to implementation.

Through our Reset Tourism Fund, we’re proud to support @greenprogram (TGP), a public benefit corporation redefining what sustainability education abroad can look like.

Founded in 2009 by @me1issalee (who also sits on our Board of Directors) TGP offers short-term, experiential programs that give students, young professionals, and now corporate partners the chance to engage with sustainability issues firsthand: installing rural microgrids in Nepal, studying renewable energy innovation on Iceland’s glaciers, restoring coral reefs in Belize, and exploring climate finance through their newest program series in Jakarta. Each experience pairs cultural immersion with hands-on learning and participants consistently describe it as transformative and life-changing.

Along the way, TGP has earned recognition including Forbes 30 Under 30, a Top 3 Student-Founded Company by the New York Stock Exchange, and a finalist spot in the @unwto Global Rural Tourism Competition, among many others.

Our investment through the Reset Tourism Fund helped TGP build internal capacity with a dedicated marketing team, invest in new technology, and deepen training for program guides, all in service of programs that reflect the highest standard of responsible, community-centered travel. TGP is now bringing that same model to corporations and organizations, expanding its reach as it grows the next generation of climate-conscious leaders.

For Alyssa Beth Luna (@a.b.luna), a Software Test Engineer, The GREEN Program’s Climate Finance & Investing experience gave her a new perspective on the connection between her financial choices and the future she wants to help build.

💬 “It all showed me that my dollars aren't only good for my own benefit.”

She didn’t wait to put that perspective into practice. Before the program ended, Alyssa was already planning a conversation with her financial advisor about moving a portion of her assets to Climate First Bank @climatefirstbank, the world's first FDIC-insured community bank dedicated to the environment and sustainability.
