POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re absolutely stunned at how beautiful @acodedwaltz’s (Teekay) solo was at ARTISTS IN MOTION last weekend. This was a personal piece dedicated to her mom who had passed of cancer last year. And she shared such a beautiful story on stage with her flow and choreography. We’re so honored to be a part of this with you.

DMLA’s Competition/Performance team helps students develop their creativity and storytelling skills on stage. We also provide performance opportunities to help our team members grow as artists and performers. For more information, DM us! taken in Curtis Theatre by @acodedwaltz

TK’s Hoedown Honeys 2024 Audition 🤠

I’m super bummed to share that I unfortunately won’t be able to perform in the upcoming @luscious_maven / @bootyburlesque showcase due to an unexpected injury. 🥲 But I’m so grateful it’s still something I can heal from and hope to be auditioning again this fall~ 🎃

Thank you so much to @chrisseadance for alllll your help with this routine! From ideation with a theme that is totally out of my element lol, practice time + feedback, keeping me accountable, and even being my personal videographer haha~ I asked her to just help record me and she came ready with a whole lighting setup vision. 😂 You da best. ❤️

Because of that, I’m glad I can still share this cool video of my audition routine with y’all! Yeehaw! 🤠 Be sure to check out the Hoedown Honeys show on July 7! taken in Los Angeles, California by @acodedwaltz

My solo performance for the @luscious_maven Halloween Pole Show! My character was inspired by Samara/Sadako from The Ring 📺📼
Song: P&Pm by BDASH + edited/extended by me

It’s been 4 years since I was last on a stage (PPC 2019) and what a joy it was to perform again. ❤️ Honored to have been selected to perform and to share the stage with such an amazing lineup of dancers! Y’all were AMAZING! 🔥

A BIG SPECIAL THANK YOU to my bestie @chrisseadance for helping me bring this piece together! I’m so grateful for all your guidance, for pushing me, and for sharing this song!! All your support from brainstorming, practices, feedback, and the silliness in between kept me going and meant so much to me. I couldn’t have done this without you. Love you, woman!! ❤️

Thank you @mama_maven and Jen for organizing this awesome show! And thank you @tempestuousdance for your feedback/guidance during our coaching session too!

And finally, thank you sooo much to everyone that came out to support me, shared positive feedback, messaged me, recorded videos, and also rooted for me along the way. 💕 Also sorry, not sorry, to the lady I scared in the aisle. 😂 Bonus goal achieved hahaha~

The positive comments about my musicality and character especially brought me joy, and it’s moments like these where I feel, this is why I love to share my movement. Thank you all for being here on this journey. Here’s to more performance opportunities in the near future~ ✌🏼 taken in Knitting Factory NoHo by @acodedwaltz

Aaaaand my workshop series, NIGHTIES & NIGHTMARES closes with Videography solos of my students. Thank you @luscious_maven for hosting the workshop and giving us this space and platform to PLAY! For some of my students, this was their first time performing for the camera! And everyone brought their own style, characters, and frightful delights! For those that didn’t make it to the videography, I’m still proud of you learning at the workshops! Thank you to my students for your commitment and hard work to making that choreo come to life. You KILLED it 😆
Now let’s do it again….

Still feeling the good vibes from performing at Artists in Motion by @uspolechampions! Everyone did amazing, and it felt good to get back on stage after 2 years~ Full professional video to come soon, but here are some highlight photos and clips from the day ❤️

If it wasn’t clear, this piece came from the heart. Grief isn’t linear and though it’s been over 9 months, the loss of my mom still feels so fresh. My concept for this performance was how grief, no matter how long ago, can strike you in the simplest moments of everyday life. A smell, a memory, a gesture, a meal, or something that belonged to them. The scarf and bag I used as props belonged to my mom. ❤️

Thank you so much @chrisseadance, for EVERYTHING. For all your coaching, your feedback and help choreographing, bringing out the impact of my concept, your friendship and sisterhood, your compassion and understanding, adapting and sewing for my costume, and especially all your support as a friend and nurse during my mom’s final days. What a gift and blessing it is to have you in my life. ❤️ Love youuuuu!!

Thank you @dynamic_movement_la @yvettetario96 for the beautiful safe space, feedback, and support that you bring for this team and for all your students. 💕

Thank you @irontoinvert @_angelynn_ @danser_la_vie_boheme for being the loveliest teammates, it’s been such a joy to see everyone’s progress all the way to taking the stage! ❤️

Thank you to @adornedpress / @anita.wilson for the beautifullll nails inspired by my costume! ✨💅

And thank you to my love, Miguel, for being there for me throughout this journey and grief, showing up with endless love and support. You have me in a softer era of my life and I’m grateful to have you. 🥰 by @acodedwaltz
