At every turn over the past three years we have come together to defend each other and what we love against the relentless attacks from this ACT-National-NZFirst Government.

Now it’s time to switch from the defensive to the offensive and get this Government out! Our power is each other! 🤝

So, bring your mates to:
1. Enrol. Get your people enrolled by midnight 25th October. ✍️
2. Plan. Make a plan with them to vote early, help them find a voting place. 🗒️
3. Vote. Support them to vote from 26th October. Check in with them until they’ve voted. 🗳️

As Nicky wrote in his latest book, Dirty Work, we can’t leave politics to a small and tricky group of well-resourced people. ❌

Join Nicky in conversation with ActionStation Director Kassie Hartendorp reflecting on Dirty Work and how we create a Te Tiriti-based democracy that looks after all of us. ❤️🖤

Alongside a Q & A with Nicky, you’ll hear practical tips on the final people-power push needed this election.

See you there— link in bio to register 🔗

Note: We will have NZSL interpretation at the online gathering. Let us know if you have any other accessibility requirements when you register.

Times are tough. Most of us aren’t “big money” . 💸

To celebrate the release of Nicky’s book and the mahi you’ve all done to build people-power this election, we’re doing a giveaway! Five winners will be drawn from attendees on the night.

Each prize pack will include:
📓 1 x Dirty Work: The Taxpayers’ Union and New Zealand’s Hard Right
📓 1 x ActionStations own The Far-Right Playbook
📓 Together for The Vote pins

Register and attend to be in the draw to get a prize pack. 🔗

Six weeks ago, community leaders and organisations determined to enrol and turnout voters came together from across Aotearoa.

Now we’re asking you to join us. Together, we can build a mega-movement. 🤝

7.30pm. July 28. Online. Register now for Hui ē! Together For The Vote— The Big Launch (link in bio) 🔗

This election is going to be close. Every vote will count. 🗳️

Over the last few years, we’ve seen record-breaking mobilisations. Our care for each other and this place we call home has been underestimated at every turn. ❤️

This July 28, join us to hear from three heavy-hitting guest speakers. We’ve invited them to share their perspectives on the turning point we are at in Aotearoa around climate, Te Tiriti and economic justice. They are all leaders in their own right, and we can’t wait to tell you more about them.

Then hear ways you can get involved in Together for The Vote, no matter where you’re joining from.

If you’re waiting for a sign— this is it. Link in bio. Register to get your meeting link ☑️ by @actionstationnz

I’m always inspired by the dreamers and schemers, the māra kai darlings, the whānau raising connected confident indigenous babies, my queer and trans hunnies, the kaupapa movers, the mahi dogs, mātauranga nerds, all the people in my life who remind me how hopeful, how delicious and how beautiful our world can be when we move with curiosity and compassion.

We have opportunities to action and resource the kind of world that we want to see for our people. One of the most impactful moments for me was witnessing the planting of seedlings by the next generation at Ihumātao in 2019, affirming their whakapapa connection to their land, and the future they intended to have on it.

That’s what inspired this poster. When we plant seeds strategically and with intention, we support them to grow towards a more hopeful future for us all.

It may not be the only path towards hope, but I do believe that exercising our right to participate in the election of our political leaders is a meaningful way that we can help to shape our society.

🌊If you haven’t enrolled to vote for this year’s general election here in Aotearoa, you must do so by midnight on October 25. That’s next Sunday y’all. 🌊

In my bio there’s two links:
⭐️ website where you can enrol/check your details are up to date
⭐️ free download link for this poster!!! may it inspire you and your darlings x

The rules around elections have changed this year, and not for the better. ❌

You can no longer enrol and vote on the same day, which is an example of a tactic known as ‘voter suppression’.

Swipe on through to read more about the changes ➡️

Want to read more about voter suppression, peep the link in bio to grab a copy of The Far-Right Playbook x📓

Don’t Panic! We can vote this one term, two bit, three headed puppet of a govt out!

People don’t vote because institutions tell them to. They vote because people in their lives, who they trust, chase them up and get them voting.

Kia horo my bro, enrolment ends 25 October.
