“Humane slaughter” asks the wrong question. The question isn’t whether animals should be used and killed more gently. It’s whether those individuals exist for us to use at all. Imagine someone else decided your life existed for their purposes. Would treating you “nicely” before taking your life make that relationship just? Veganism is not a demand for better conditions within exploitation. It is the principle that humans should live without exploiting other animals. It rejects the belief that they exist for our purposes and calls for emancipation from human oppression, not reform. If exploitation is unjust, making it look kinder cannot make it just. Plants can respond to their environment. But that doesn’t answer the question veganism asks: What gives us the right to treat other animals as property, products and resources? Even if plants could consciously experience pain, or animals couldn’t feel pain, it still wouldn’t make animals ours to use. Pointing at plants doesn’t justify breeding, exploiting and killing sentient individuals - it simply changes the subject. Veganism challenges the belief beneath the excuse: that other animals exist for us to use. They don’t. Animals are individuals. Not products. Not resources. Not ours to use. Most people already know what they’re doing is wrong. Some of those people will have a big enough heart to speak honestly about it and make the change to go vegan. Thank you @stanley_betts_ for capturing the first vegan declaration I got during my first Cube of Truth experience. This made everything worth it. Thank you for all your coaching, as well! Couldn’t be more honored to be part of this amazing group. #vegan #outreach #compassion #endanimalexploitation by @activist_amina

Religion should never be used as a shield against ethical reflection. The question isn’t simply whether your religion permits something. It’s whether the beings affected by your choices have interests, feelings, relationships, and a desire to live. Animals are not resources. They are not ours to own, control, breed, confine, or kill simply because you believe we’re entitled to them. Permission is not the same as justification. Tradition is not the same as ethics. And convenience is not a moral right. #animalliberation #veganism #activism #fortheanimals #vegan by @activist_amina
Freedom should never be a privilege reserved for humans. Dolphins are sentient individuals with their own lives, needs, relationships, and an inherent desire to explore the world beyond the confines of a concrete pool. They were not born to perform, entertain us, or exist within boundaries we chose for them. The fact that we can walk away from their captivity while they cannot is a reminder of the privilege we take for granted and the injustice we continue to normalize. Their freedom matters, too. And until we recognize that, we are still choosing human entertainment over their right to live freely. #AnimalLiberation #freethedolphins #EndCaptivity #AnimalRights #VeganActivism by @activist_amina

My forever best friend, sister, defender of animals, vegan baddie, waffle muse
I couldn’t be more thankful to call you my family. I love you!! Let’s keep fighting for the animals til too damn old to move đŸ€ŁđŸ«¶đŸœ #veganism #bestfriends #sisters #animal liberation by @activist_amina
Loving someone doesn’t require you to abandon your values, and disagreeing with them doesn’t mean you love them any less. Animal rights shouldn’t be conditional on who you’re dating, yet I’ve met several people who use this as an excuse and say they would live vegan if their partner would, too. If you believe animals deserve to live free from exploitation, stand by that belief—even when it challenges the people closest to you. Because the animals who suffer for our choices don’t get a say in our relationships, our compromises, or our excuses. Be guided by your ethics, not by convenience or someone else’s approval. #veganism #animalliberation #activism #fortheanimals #vegan by @activist_amina
You don’t lose sleep over what you’ve been taught not to question. You’ve learned to call exploitation normal, suffering necessary, and say that animals are objects that exist for your benefit. Normalizing this doesn’t make it ethical, and tradition doesn’t erase responsibility. I can’t ever seem to understand how their suffering doesn’t keep you up at night. #veganism #activism #animalliberation #fortheanimals #endanimalexploitation by @activist_amina
Horses were not born to carry us, pull our loads, or serve our entertainment. They are individuals with their own needs, desires, and right to live freely. Just because we can domesticate, train, and ride horses doesn’t mean we’re entitled to do so. And just because we’ve normalized using them for centuries doesn’t make it ethical. The belief that animals exist for our use is not a justification. It’s the very mindset that allows us to treat them as resources rather than individuals. #horses #animalliberation #veganism #freetheanimals #activism by @activist_amina
