What a way to celebrate a first birthday. 🥂🥩 I was invited to the 1st anniversary party at Adalina Prime, one of the hottest new steakhouses in the West Loop, and the whole night felt glamorous from start to finish.
The space is stunning — a huge 10,500-square-foot dining room with an open “culinary cathedral” kitchen, a four-seasons atrium, and a dramatic two-story wine cellar holding thousands of bottles. 🍷✨

Led by Adalina team and Michelin-starred chef and Top Chef alum Soo Ahn, who is also the chef-partner behind Arla, @arlachicago , the Mediterranean-Japanese rooftop restaurant in the Gold Coast, the menu brings a globally inspired twist to the modern steakhouse experience, and the energy at the birthday celebration was next level.

Definitely one to save for your next date night, celebration, business dinner, or special night out in Fulton Market. ❤️

A Saturday barbecue that’s American-style with Korean soul, featuring smoked pork belly and a Korean twist on mac and cheese.🇰🇷 What moved Chef Soo most was how the team welcomed him in. In his words, “they are the nicest group of guys.”

#ad We had the pleasure of welcoming @marriottbonvoy | @chase cardmembers to Adalina Prime on Thursday, August 20 for an exclusive one-night dining experience hosted by Chef @sookyoahn. Guests enjoyed a curated multicourse menu with expertly paired wine selections from our wine cellar, designed to complement and elevate every dish. Chef Soo also shared a closer look into one of his standout dishes, Picanha Wagyu Bulgogi, giving guests an inside perspective on the inspiration, technique, and creativity behind the plate.

A veces la libertad no se ve como una vida perfecta.

A veces se ve así: sentada en un restaurante en Chicago, riéndome con amigas, disfrutando una comida rica, respirando tranquila… y dándome cuenta de que ya no vivo desde la culpa.

Sigo teniendo procesos. Sigo teniendo problemas. Sigo teniendo días donde necesito parar, orar y volver a acomodar el corazón.

Pero ya no soy la misma.

Antes reaccionaba desde el miedo, desde la ansiedad, desde querer controlar todo, desde cargar cosas que Dios nunca me pidió cargar.

Hoy estoy aprendiendo a vivir una fe más activa:
una fe que no me encierra,
una fe que me ordena,
una fe que me da paz,
una fe que me recuerda quién soy incluso cuando la vida se pone pesada.

Y qué regalo tan grande es poder disfrutar sin ataduras.
Reír sin sentir culpa.
Compartir con personas que suman.
Hacer planes bonitos sin desconectarme de Dios.
Vivir mi vida con propósito, pero también con ligereza.

Porque caminar con Él no me quitó la vida.
Me devolvió la calma.
