This year I started taking my son to Spanish Story Time @akspl_kids and sometimes I bid on books for auction via @friendsofsmileylibrary

I won INLANDIA and it’s a special addition to my home library because it’s the anthology that helped spark @inlandia_institute the publisher of my debut book REMYTH. It’s so humbling to know I’m part of that legacy.

@a.k.smileypubliclibrary is where @tibroot suggested I take some promo pictures the day I got copies of my book (shouts out @cati_porter). It’s a comforting memory to think back on (along with all the performance experiences I had with that collection), not realizing that a few years down the road, we’d be taking our son for weekly visits. taken in A.K. This Saturday at noon I’m performing “A Reading for Catalina Rose” at the Riverside Book Festival held at the Riverside Main Library.

Today marks another complete trip for you, Virgo! And we maybe didn’t get to celebrate the way we had planned with all the homies, but you found joy as you always do and you loved on Cualli so much like the giving human you are. You’re an amazing woman I’m grateful to know and love beyond words.
