15 Years. Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸🔱

Today, we pause to remember the 31 American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on August 6, 2011, aboard Extortion 17.

Fifteen years have passed, but the courage, selflessness, and legacy of these extraordinary men continue to inspire a grateful nation.

Among them was Special Operator Chief Aaron Carson Vaughn, U.S. Navy SEAL. Aaron’s life, service, and sacrifice became the foundation of Operation 300. What began in the midst of unimaginable loss has grown into a mission dedicated to caring for the families our fallen heroes leave behind. Every camp, every mentor, every retreat, every child who finds hope, and every family reminded they are not alone exists because of the legacy these heroes left behind.

Today, we honor all 31 Americans aboard Extortion 17.
We remember the warriors who answered the call without hesitation.

We remember the families who have carried their absence every day since. We remember the children who grew up knowing their fathers through stories, photographs, and the legacy they left behind.
And we recommit ourselves to ensuring that sacrifice is never forgotten.

At Operation 300, we believe the greatest way to honor our fallen is not only to remember how they died, but to continue caring for the people they loved most.

To the men of Extortion 17:
Your courage still inspires.
Your sacrifice still matters.
Your legacy still lives on.
Today and always, we remember.
Never Forgotten. Forever Honored.

From your kindergarten classroom to your graduation stage… you did it Lyla Mae! We are so incredibly proud of you. I can’t help but look back over these last 17 years with a huge smile on my face. You didn’t just make it through, you flourished…and your dad and I were so lucky to walk beside you through each and every season. You were one of 23 students in your class of 435 to graduate high school with your Associate’s degree. You graduated with the AP Capstone Diploma and as an AP Scholar with distinction. Each of these accomplishments represent hours and hours of work and perseverance in the face of hardship and frustration… But you’re absolute determination to finish well won out in the end! At the same time you were soaring in the academic world, you held down a part-time job, led your soccer team as varsity captain, and served as a leader in your young life and wildlife groups. We watched you create lasting and meaningful friendships that helped you grow in so many ways. We got to see you invest in the people around you in ways that were beautiful to witness. I cannot say again just how proud I am of you and how much joy you have brought to your dad and my life since the day you were born. We are so excited for your next season and grateful that we get to be just a small part of it! Go Bulls! by @adam____baldwin
