Existence Mundane ✅ (5.14b) (8c)

I still can’t believe that I sent today. It still feels surreal to me and i still feel like i am dreaming. Definitely a mental battle as it took a few more days on the route to actually send then I thought it would. I ended up falling on the move to the sloper 8+ times from the ground which is the last hard move and multiple times grabbing the sloper but my feet would end up cutting. I ended up just holding it and bearing down and next thing you know I was clipping the chains.

One massive thing I want to say is to thank my coaches, my friends and my mom who have been with me and cheering me on throughout the entire thing. I cannot put into words how much support I have and how grateful I am.

The Vice V13/8b ✅

Absolutely psyched to send this boulder today. First of the grade too.

Second session on it and managed to send first go of the day hence why I was so shocked on the final jug 😂 nice to be feeling a bit stronger and more like myself pre injury and such a beautiful place to spend a few weeks. Hopefully the coming week goes well but regardless so happy to be here 😁.

Trying to find peace in the thrill of it all

Rocklands for the last 3 weeks has been so amazing with @joshtreemuller @regankennedy @queenbelayer. The food, the people, the sunsets. Truly grateful for the time together. I sent my hardest boulder out here too, though I’d be lying if I said it felt the way I expected.

Six months of being injured on and off will do that. You do everything right, stay on top of the rehab, and still get knocked down hard, and it messes with your confidence more than you’d think. Feeling shaky on one of the only things that always felt solid is a weird place to be. My love for the sport has shifted in ways I’m not sure have come back fully yet. I’m leaving a bit injured again unfortunately after finally starting to feel normal, which is pretty on brand for this year.

But three weeks of good rock with good people is hard to beat.

Twig2 V13 @ 50

So psyched to finally do this boulder with the help of @aj.leigh and @hen.atx for the pysched and pre send back flip. This was a crazy boulder and honestly feels insane to have done this grade. I genuinely was so surprised when it went. Only took 2 sessions at 50 after sending it at 40 and 45 last year.

The tb2 is so good and I’m psyched to explore other hard boulders. Let’s see what the season holds! by @adamffatem

Canadians Youth Nationals 2025 🇨🇦:

Such an amazing competition and I’m super happy I was able to attend and spend time with friends and with team bolder. I was super happy to make finals in both disciplines and although I didn’t feel like I gave it my all in Boulder finals, spending time with the team was amazing.

Lead went fun as well and I got 2nd YAY! I was super happy with my climbing and the Richmond oval really makes me reconsider my endurance training 😂. It was an honour to compete beside so many of my lifelong friends and made many great memories. It is always nice being around the holder team and the coaches make it complete. Thank you to Josh and Regan and Sean and Ana for making this year’s nationals so special. Thank you to the setters as well. We all appreciate you.

Also got to spend a few amazing days in Squamish after and I didn’t send all my projects but did some super cool lines.
 -Black Hole V11
 -Squaminator V11/12
 -The Reckoning Stand V10
 -Sharmas Link V10 (2nd try)
 + many other cool boulders!

That’s a wrap on the Canadian Youth Season but I’m always so grateful for everyone who makes it so special. Until next year 😁

Bouldering and Lead Youth Nationals 2024:

Such an amazing comp and a great way to finish off my youth comp season before university. Making finals in both disciplines was a dream come true and I felt very happy with my performances in most of the rounds. It was so great to compete alongside so many amazing friends. Definitely an end of a chapter for me and I’m happy to have such a great last youth nationals.

Bouldering was a journey. After barely making semifinals and then having an amazing semifinals and having the opportunity to compete in finals with some of the strongest climbers in my category was awesome. I was very close on the final boulder in finals and a little disappointed with my performance on slab, but I am happy nonetheless. I finished bouldering in 5th and what a great way to end my season.

Lead was better for me and I was consistent throughout each round and happy with my training approaching the event. In finals I made a slight error but regardless I am so happy to still have ended up in 3rd and very happy with my performance.

Thank you to all my coaches (@joshtreemuller @reganmkennedy @seanwheelan and @kyewotton) and many other friends who always support me. And of course my mom (@queenbelayer who helps book hotels, rental cars, get food, and many other things that I really appreciate. Thank you to everyone for making it so memorable. 😊

Youth Boulder Provincials 2024!

Wow, what a crazy competition which marks the end of an era. Managed to get first at the competition and second in the province overall. It was so great to compete alongside friends and I was very happy with my performance. This marks one of my last alberta competitions and definitely gonna miss all the friends I have made over the years. Very excited for nationals in May and for the future. (Whatever it may hold)

Thank you to all the setters and my coaches who made this whole event possible. And thanks to @calgaryclimbing for hosting the competition. Thanks to all my friends and family coming to support. I loved having everyone there! taken in Calgary Climbing Centre Chinook by @adamffatem

Joes Valley and Moe’s Valley 2024,

It’s too hard to only pic 8 photos to show the entire trip

First of all It was an amazing trip with so many great people. Thanks to all the coaches for organizing the trip and lending a helping hand all the time. (@joshtreemuller and @reganmkennedy and @seanwheelan). Also thanks to @queenbelayer / mom for always supporting me and encouraging me to go these trips. Thank you!

In Joes valley we didn’t get super lucky with the weather and my climbing days it was snowing and my rest days it was sunny but still managed to climb some cool boulders and try some harder ones. Unfortunately didn’t end up sending the boulder I wanted as I got on it too late or ran out of time. Regardless, it was such a great time

Moe’s valley was also super fun with the warmer weather and the night sessions. Again didn’t end up sending the boulder we wanted to but had such a fun time projecting it with @joshtreemuller . “Force of nature” wins again. I punted a lot and gonna have to go back for more. Also climber so super cool boulders with the team and just had an amazing time.

Team trips are always so much fun as it always brings everyone closer due to living in the same house and is a summer fun bonding experience. It is so awesome to see all the hard work all the athletes in team put in pay off and just getting to know each and every one a little better is so awesome.

Notable sends for the trip:
Limelighters V11
Dead Rabbit V10
Beyond Life V10
Fingerhut V10
And a bunch of other fun boulders

No send on force of nature or black out :( (gotta go back) taken in Utah by @adamffatem

Vegas 2023/2024

Such an amazing trip with so many great people. I am very happy with the memories I have made with my friends. Such as @joshtreemuller @reganmkennedy @kimannefuss @jblitza @stefkujawa @mderky and my mom.

Here’s some great pics of me playing around on some boulders. Even though I didn’t send as many hard boulders as I would have liked, after some reflection, I learned so much about myself and the process of projecting that I love (sometimes). Definitely a trip to remember with so many core memories made both climbing and otherwise.

I am looking forward to the next trip this spring to Utah and maybe the occasional trip back to vegas for the proj.

Plus a massive thanks to @queenbelayer (aka mom) for always providing the opportunities for trips like these. It would not be possible to be where I am today without you. taken in Red Rock Canyons Las Vegas by @adamffatem
