POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s been a couple days and I still have no idea what to say or how to write this but I’ll try.

Somehow I made the USA Women’s sled hockey team after attending their tryouts in Madison, Wisconsin.

I really went for the experience and to learn as much as I could with the goal of making it on the team by 2030. I thought maybe this year I will make an alternate at best.

Turns out, the coaches saw something more than I even saw, and I’ve officially made the team.

I started sled hockey early/mid September of 2025 and made the USA team exactly one year later. I think that’s super coincidental and super cool.

Now it’s time to get to work and make sure the USA staff and coaches know they made the best decision with the chance they took on me.

I am forever grateful for God’s guidance, the ones who got me into this sport and built me up for the last year, and for all the wonderful people in my life who believe in my silly dreams more then I do sometimes.

Yo pause for the cause!
Listen and watch!
Because of the care I received from Shriners, I’ve been able to do what I do.

A few months ago, Elina, Nicole, and I decided to take on the Nashville HYROX this December as a four-person relay team. We were all excited to train together and compete as a team.

However, last week we were notified that adaptive athletes would not be permitted to compete in the relay division due to what HYROX described as “safety issues.” This meant that Elina, a double amputee, was not allowed to participate as part of our four-person team.

The only option initially offered to us was a refund. We were then told we would need to purchase new tickets for the doubles division. Anyone who has purchased HYROX tickets knows how quickly they sell out—often within minutes of registration opening. At this point, securing replacement tickets seemed nearly impossible.

Fortunately, I was able to get my hands on a set of charity doubles tickets. The catch? In order to compete, I must raise $600 for a designated charity.

With that said, I have chosen to fundraise for an organization dedicated to ending cruelty toward farmed animals.

If you would like to support this cause and help me reach my fundraising goal, I would truly appreciate any donation, big or small. Every contribution makes a difference!

Thank you so much for your support! ❤️

Took the “break a leg” to heart this time when I went for a pullover PR on the bar😤🦿 by @adaptiveelina

Elina absolutely impressed me.
At just 22 years old, the knowledge, maturity, and care she brought to the Adaptive Athlete Experience was incredible to watch.
What stood out most wasn’t just what she knew — it was how intentional she was about helping us understand how to give adaptive athletes the opportunity to succeed in the gym.
And her story stuck with me.
She talked about the mentors in her own CrossFit community who helped encourage her to build this seminar, and I kept thinking… isn’t that one of the greatest things about CrossFit?
You find a community that pushes you, believes in you, and helps you become better — and sometimes that gives you the confidence to go create something the fitness world genuinely needs.
Elina also said something that completely changed the way I thought about adaptation.
She doesn’t see herself as someone who simply “can’t” do what other athletes can do. With the right modifications, she can push herself just as hard as anyone else.
Then she flipped the perspective on us.
She explained that if she suddenly woke up tomorrow with legs, working out would actually be a completely new experience for her. She would have to learn and adapt just like the rest of us had to during the seminar.
And then she proved the point by putting us through an adaptive workout.
Let me tell you… that was a butt kicking. 😂
I left the seminar with a better understanding of adaptive fitness, but also with a lot of respect for a young woman who took her own lived experience and decided to use it to help other people.
Thank you, Elina, for coming to CrossFit Mettle & Honor, teaching us, challenging us, and pushing us outside of what we’re comfortable with. Keep going. You’re building something important. 🙏
And congratulations on representing the U.S. in women’s sled hockey. Good luck in Australia at the 2026 Women’s World Para Ice Hockey Championships! 🇺🇸🏒
