Community has always been a key factor in why AddedJoi was created. Being a Black woman in this world, you go through and witness a lot that other women may or may not experience in this lifetime, which is why we have to stick together to make the best of it.

Project “Root to Rise” is finally bridging the gap between community, accessibility and womanhood. Yes, all three can exist at the same time. After losing my job a few months ago and struggling to figure out my next move, I realized there weren’t many resources for a young woman like myself and decided to create my own for those just like me. Welcome and stay tuned 💕 by @addedjoi

Here at AddedJoi, we know about the daily struggles women face. From work, home life, relationships, friendships and more, we are here to help you along the way. 💗

I started the year producing my very first book, which is a children’s book of affirmations. Now I’m ending the year accomplishing a MAJOR goal of mine!

As a girl growing into womanhood, I’m trying to unlearn my “perfectionist” ways while also navigating the world and work force. Imagine working so hard all of your life to still not make top dollar for what you know you deserve? Welcome to working in America. But just know, you are worthy + deserving babe. Don’t you ever forget it 💕

This week has been heavy with so much news about the lives of Black women being taken from us. So many names, so many young lives lost due to partner violence and not enough outrage for it. Our lives are worth preserving. We deserve to be protected. May their souls live on 🤍
