Happy Pub Day! I'm officially In my Stephen Graham Jones Era! 😁

Picked this beauty up today and I can't wait to dig in! 🪏

I haven't read The Only Good Indians yet and seeing as how Off The Reservation takes place 5 years after that book I guess I know where I'll be starting my journey into a new Author!

Have you read any of his books yet? 👀 Any in particular you'd recommend picking up??

Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!!

Oh where shall I start with you... 🤔

Starving Saints is part medieval weirdness, horror and fantasy and absolutely reads like a cannibalistic fever dream.

This story while it had some really interesting moments felt extremely repetitive at times. I truly enjoyed the body horror aspects and darker narratives of the book but was ultimately left wanting more substance.

Overall I think this would have worked better as a novella and really feel the book suffered from fancy but empty sentences that didn't help push the narrative forward.

So while I didn't hate this book I also didn't quite love it either and for that it gets a -

⭐⭐⭐ Rating

If you don't mind feeling lost or like your on an acid trip, this book is for you!

"I would have lived in peace. But my enemies brought me war."

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 5 Star read

This book starts out slow but once it's going, wow!!!!

The depth in which the characters are told is so well done, I love Darrow's character and the intense complexity of his entire situation is really crazy to sit down and think about.

Learning some of the things you do at the start of the book actually had me pissed off for him and his people (not gonna say for spoilers) but like what the actual fuck man, I guess you can't really put it past people in power to be that way though. 😫 Ugh

If you need a true original tale of deception, deceit and revenge look no further.

Honestly I don't think I can say anything new that hasn't already been said by other reviewers of the series besides read this. ✨

🐉 🤍 Two 4 Tuesday 🤍 🐉

The Witcher is one of my favorite fantasy series so I wanted to give them a little love! 🤍

Yennefer is one of my favorite characters for her transformation throughout the first few seasons! She has such a wild and tumoltuous ride! Being born into extreme poverty with a curved spine even her own father would sell her for less than the price of a pig to a powerful sorceress! ✨

If you had to hire a body guard, would you choose an emotionless mutant who fights monsters for money, or a powerful politically connected sorceress who can teleport you anywhere but might use you as a pawn? 👀

🎈 IT is one of my favorite King books right next to The Stand and with October upon us it felt fitting to make a post for it!

I read this book last year for the first time and really fell in love with the Characters ♥️

While I was walking around some shops I found a lot of fun little IT themed things like magnets for my mini fridge and an AWESOME coloring book I'm so excited to use next time I need to relax and unwind 🖍️

Not quite sure what I'm going to put the stickers on yet but I'm sure I'll find something 🤡

Have you read IT yet? 👀 🎈

The weather is so crisp here I'm in full fall mode and no one can stop me!🍁 *Laughs menicically* pumpkin spice for everyone!!!

You can find me hopped up on coffee somewhere... 🫡

Have a great day y'all!! 🤠 ✨

🦇 🤍 October Hopefuls 🤍 🦇

This is my *ahem* realistic October Hopefuls ✨ 🕯️

Last month and the month before that I ended up getting in over my head and picking too many books!

This month I've pulled myself back and picked a few books I can realistically finish within the month. If I get to read more books that's great!😃

I did grab one book from my ten before the end stack so we are slowly working our way through that goal as well 🖤

Are any of these on your TBR or have you read any of them yet? 👀 🖤
