Some of my dancers had the opportunity to perform at the Future Stages Festival at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City in June. @kauffmancenter @saintlukeskc

While I was the primary choreographer of this 20-minute piece, this was truly a collaborative work. Every dancer was given opportunities to improvise, and several even choreographed their own sections.

I’ve had the vision for this piece in my head for months, and I knew it was a message that needed to be shared. The message centers around love, equality, community, and unity. It addresses issues that continue to affect our world every day—sexism, racism, discrimination, and injustice.

The piece begins in a place of sadness and grief, reflecting how many of us feel about the state of the world and the struggles that have existed for far too long. It then transitions through themes of women’s rights, African American rights, and immigrant rights before ultimately ending in a place of unity, celebration, and love.
Love is stronger than hate❤️

Finally sharing this special piece from my 2025-2026 season with @premierdancekc. Choreographed by @jbarryofficial ... This solo was LOVE. Every. Single. Time.

Jamie, thank you for creating something so special, built perfectly for me. And my heartfelt appreciation to @jessie_mcelwain and @miss_tasha_5678 for getting me really stage ready.

🤍This moment reminds me of how far I've come. I'm embracing this experience with an open heart, cherishing each step of my journey, and looking forward to the path that lies ahead 🤍

If you listen to the lyrics; It just so happens I am packing to return to my favorite city to soak in the magic. I get my "summer in New York" 🗽🍎

Will forever miss this one.
