Feeling overwhelmed with love these days.

I never knew I could love so much, so deeply. I had no idea I was capable of loving a human I’ve never met before more than life itself. I didn’t know that being pregnant would crack my heart in half, but only so it had room to grow 2x bigger.

Growing this human has been a liminal space between saying goodbye to everything that used to be “normal,” being so excited for what’s to come, and existential terror of knowing my world is about to flip upside down without knowing exactly how or by how much.

I’m so grateful for my husband who, while not growing our baby, has certainly been growing right along side me. Not only has he held space for every fleeting ache, pain, and emotion I’ve had in this experience, but he’s evolved into a man that’s somehow even more caring, thoughtful & compassionate than I could have ever imagined before. Between every plea for a back rub & grumpy remark, he’s held me together as I grow not only physically… but emotionally & spiritually. I’ve watched him evolve into the solid foundation of our home. He has (already) so effortlessly stepped into the role of “dad” and it has truly been an honor to watch it all unfold. This baby has brought us together, deepened our love, and wrapped our growing family in so much joy. Matt & I talk endlessly about this little one and all the things we can’t wait to do with him (namely - all the endless snuggles, kisses, giggles, family outings, matching outfits, and T Ball of course).

The community of love that surrounds us in this season is surreal. Watching and feeling our village fall in love this baby right along side us makes my heart ache with joy. There’s no better feeling than when the people you love, love what you love too. How lucky we are!!

I fall asleep every night thinking, “this is the life I always dreamed of.” This is what I’m here to do.
