Finally getting around to sharing more of our wedding weekend 🥹🤍 This is Day 1, celebrating and honoring my Lao & Thai heritage. Swipe through for some of my favorite moments, little details, and the stories behind the photos that made this day so special to us! I just have to say how incredibly grateful we are for our village. So many people poured their time, love, and energy into making this weekend what it was, and we truly could not have done any of it without them. It makes looking back at these photos that much more special. Getting into traditional Lao attire is definitely not a one-woman job 😂🤍 From shopping in Laos for my sinh and jewelry to finally putting it all on for my wedding day, having my mom and aunties there to help me get ready made this moment so much more special. These women have loved me, supported me, and inspired me for so many years, and getting to have them by my side for a moment, so deeply connected to my culture is something I’ll always cherish!! 🥹 Hair & Makeup: @dgorgeousmakeup Probably one of my FAVORITE parts of the entire day… even though I had to sit inside and watch it all happen from a window 😂 The Groom’s Procession! Traditionally, the groom makes his way to the bride (ME 😂) surrounded by his family and friends, singing, dancing, and celebrating along the way. Seeing both of our families come together for this and watching everyone fully embrace this part of my culture was honestly so magical. And of course, Cameron couldn’t just walk right in 😂 My family and my amazing gatekeepers (my bridesmaids) had to make sure he was worthy enough to make it through each gate first. A couple shots of VSOP (ofc), a little dancing for my heart, and, at one point, even making his best man do push-ups on his behalf, LOL. Such a fun tradition and easily one of my favorite memories from Day 1 🤍 He made it through!! Once Cameron officially passed the gates, he and his family were welcomed into our ceremony space to join mine. Traditionally, this part would take place inside the bride’s family home, but there was absolutely no way to fit our whole village inside 😂 so we brought the celebration outdoors instead. A mo

One place I will NEVER skip when I’m in San Diego is @dessertsbyclement 🥐🤍 I genuinely dream about these pastries lol! Chef Clément is originally from France and has been a pastry chef for over 15 years, and you can seriously see the craftsmanship that goes into every single pastry. They’re almost too pretty to eat… almost 🤭✨ The mango and lemon pastries are my absolute favorites but honestly I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. If you appreciate pastries then this is an absolute MUST when you’re in San Diego!
