. Ayo y’all what’s up here’s me singing an original live @ the @creativecloudshowcase x @seshcollectiv auditions !! Excuse my friends all up in this video😂😂 & thank you to them for recording😇😇😇 backstory to the song found below ✔️ . This song was written a little over a year ago when I was newly single and didn’t know what I was doing or what I wanted out of relationships. I started dating again way too soon after my breakup with someone of two years. I then came across people, one situation at a time, who ‘wanted to pursue me’ during this vulnerable time. (They didn’t actually wAnt to pursue me -they didn’t know whAt they wanted besides sex) and since I wasn’t goin there with it, (as I wasn’t in a space to do so), I was ghosted one person after the next after being intimate with them in other ways. As soon as I (we) started to catch the feels, they would vanish lmao cause feels were not what they were looking for. At the time I did not realize that this was the reason for their disappearing- I thought there was something wrong with me. . “Incapable” was written after the 1st situationship, and I continued to repeat this cycle of love and loss three more times. This song is essentially conveying “I’m already in a negative place; why are you going out of your way to make it even worse” . I’m so thankful for this period of my life ! I learned soooo much about myself regarding what I truly want and what I’ll never settle for again. Learned how to put myself in the center of my life and fill my cup up before giving any of my light to anyone else. Yes relationships are cool, but I know now how light hearted dating can be and I learned you can still have love for people even when there’s a conflict of interests. It’s not personal when two people don’t want the same thing. You can’t make something fit that was never meant for you😁 . I’m not a huge fan of this performance but this song is for the broken hearted so I must share. I see you I hear you. Put the focus back on yourself and watch your relationships shift. Felt a lot of my peers’ stressed & anxious energy today & I just wanted to remind you that it’s all okay & we gon get through this & get this bread. Sorry I don’t have more to say it’s bc I’m right there with you lol life is moving so fast.🥴 But that’s okay because you’re rapidly moving towards ya purpose . . Also don’t swipe too far or you’ll see me riding the public bus lmao but iss okay it’s simply a look into the future of me on my own tour bus eow😛 . Got a lot on my mind & this post is literally just me typing and emptying some thoughts. Feeling like I’m in an inbetween state of consciousness right now? Like not bad at all but not great. Also trying so hard not to be so critical of my performance this time around. Take the lessons & keep it movin. Thank you to @ainaemusix for putting on this wonderful event & making me part of it & thank you to the band y’all did jya thing!! Also thank you to everyone who came out to support and to my beautiful friens n familiee 😇 . Sorry this post is a mess and is not cohesive in any way😂 . I have another performance tomorrow.
