The art and music of Mike Tallman. Gig posters and more. Created in Los Angeles. Just say NO to AI “art”.

I’m a visual person. So I was curious and wanted to see what 38,000 mentions of the President’s name looks like in print. So here it is, set in 9 point type in a condensed typeface. The final result is almost 30 feet long. That’s how many times he’s mentioned in the files to date (with several million yet to be released). Gross. by @addnoisestudios

October 11 marks 12 years of marriage for us! Things are extra fun over here this year with our adoption of this scruffy little guy named Lou! We are so lucky this sweet boy found us and we couldn’t be more grateful to the amazing folks at @pupculturerescue for all the work they do rescuing dogs from all over the greater Los Angeles area and beyond. Here’s to many more years of love and marriage, and to new adventures with this new member of our pack. We love you, little Lou!! by @addnoisestudios

The gig poster and printmaking communities lost an absolute giant unexpectedly one week ago and it’s something we’ll all be feeling for a long time. Fran and I didn’t live near each other so I would only ever see him at @flatstock events (every single one I’ve ever been a part of) and I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that he won’t be at the next one. Beyond that, I’m still at a loss for words, so I just made this quick little tribute image, based on his iconic (and hilarious) FARTS print that was always up on his wall or in the flip racks. Rest easy, Franpa. We all miss you so much. @bureauofprint by @addnoisestudios

@billystrings takes the stage at the Paramount Theatre in Denver. Unfortunately due to shipping snafu the show edition isn’t on site but they’re taking orders at the merch booth. I started working on ideas for this one earlier this summer, after I had just gotten back from a week at our family cabin deep in the Colorado mountains and the idea was born when “Cabin Song” came on while sketching and listening to the Highway Prayers record. (the cabin portion and actually based on our cabin, which is called Rivendell)
Anyway, have fun tonight folks. I’ll post in my story about AP release once I confirm timing for all that. Thanks again Team Strings! by @addnoisestudios

@johnnyblueskies is in town tonight and I’m honored to have made this poster for the occasion. Mutiny After Midnight has been on HEAVY rotation in my studio this summer so this is really special, especially to commemorate the LA show. Many thanks to Janice for including me in this tour’s batch of poster artists and for just generally being a rad person to work with. JBS are just getting started on a tour that runs through the end of October so I can’t wait to see what else is in store on this run! by @addnoisestudios
