[Production of MENJADI DIRIKU TIDAK SALAH] What a way to close the year. Last weekend, I played a role for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. This production was more like a prayer: for understanding, for resonance, for hope, for common ground. Talking about disabilities is never an easy subject for the person with disability, for those that care for them, and for those around them.
But just because it’s not easy, it doesn’t mean we don’t talk about it. And this production tried to talk about an aspect of it—from the family point of view.

Humans are humans…in the end, it is understanding, kindness and compassion that we all look for. Then give.

Thank you @affavav and @inigerrygerardo (for script and direction) for involving me in this project and being awesome directors.
My brilliant castmates @dewarazaqqi @rolandvoelleraritonang @aviva.alika , i have so much respect for you all for your acting skills, your hearts and your energies..i am grateful to have shared the stage with you.
And the most wonderful @ceritabedahaksama team for artistic and technical support throughout
(Kakak2 Arvan, Jodie, Billy, Alma, Eugine, Rafi, Fadlan).

Bestari. Second time around.
This was my first time doing a 2nd leg for a show (the first was in Feb 2024). It was a lesson on how to keep the same dialogue and song fresh, and how to further be an active listener in order to respond better with fellow casts. It was also a lesson to always start with a clean slate and be open to learning and exploring new things.
Thank you to: @kezialetheia @jovialdalopez @andovidalopez for continuing to put your trust in me; the most awesome Polarisasi Musical creative and non-art teams of which we could not have done without; and a shout out to all crew and LOs, a truly selfless and talented bunch of people. Last but never least, my talented castmates (sorry i couldn’t tag all of you): i have learned from you, shared laughs with you, and shared the stage with you. Thank you all.

Janji palsu, janji-janji palsu~

(isi sendiri)

Sampai jumpa di project kami selanjutnya!✨

I have been blessed with the most wonderful projects, together with the most wonderful people, recently.
Malin Kundang is a widely-known folktale, that shows what happens to you when you hurt your mother. Yours truly, was THE mother. She loved, she yearned, she cursed, and she mourned. The whirlwind of emotions of what was a 40-minute performance, felt way too brief.
And all of this would not have happened without the wonderful people i worked with.
Thank you to @boowlive @indonesia_kaya @billygamaliel @renitasari @bayu_pontiagust @matarama66 @dianhp_music , mbak Irma, mas @budiargautomo3 , @sinengsiti_ and the awesome dancers..
My fellow cast who are so deeply talented, i am in awe
@ninoprabowo @nisahrynt …
And the costume team from Elly Kasim, and make-up duo @siskayunisarah @patriciamagdalenna ..
TAKE A BOW EVERYONE.

We’re on YouTube, search for “Malin Kundang BOOW Live”..go and watch us there! taken in Galeri Indonesia Kaya by @ade_urbanhermit
