I am finally trying some Shibori dyeing techniques. I have wanted to try Shibori for a while because they are so beautiful. And I’m really pleased with how I did with my first attempt at Shibori! ✌🏼
Thanks @studiokriyatekstil for the great experience! ❤️

Playwrights brainstorming session.
Kemaren para penulis GVP berkumpul nyelaraskan cerita. Such a fun process! I particularly enjoyed discovering where the story takes us and how that affects each of the character’s journeys.
I found this part of the process playful, it excites the little kid in me.

More info to come! Possibly in the next two weeks, we’ll have our script reading. Actors will be needed.
MORE TO COME, stay tuned!!

Its almost there....

Sometimes you just gotta do what you need to do to get dem done. Drink coffees, jambak rambut, koprol, and of course dance like the cool-kid-not-at-all-trying-to-look-young that you are. 😎
Whatever it takes.

Get to know the characters in the new play that is being developed in the #GivingVoicesProject.

The writers are well on their way to developing the story of these three women. It’s an exciting process, indeed!
There are many ways you can help to cheer us on. Cuz there are days when all roads feel like a dead end. Your support would feel like a gentle pat on our back to keep us going.

You can help give cheers by treating the writers to coffee or snacks, to help us in brainstorming & writing sessions. You can also be part of the online event of reading the initial draft script or enable us to do a playwriting workshop to share our process. Your donations will help tremendously to the success of the project. Check out the donation options and their many benefits. 🙏

"The best way to start is to.. well.. start"

Often times we defeat ourselves by saying we can’t, we don’t know, we are not allowed to or we are not good enough. These are barriers we created for ourselves, and the same ones we should and can demolish.
The three female writers involved in the Giving Voices Project have never produced ANY dramatic playscript. But that shouldn’t stop us. We decided to go gung ho and develop a new play and tell our stories.
It is so easy to say we can’t do this, it’s too hard (well.. it is hard), and let others tell our stories, instead. But we decided to say yes to ourselves, know that we can, and know that everything can be learned. The most important thing is we know that we have a safe and supportive space to try and fail and get up to finally be the best that we can be.

Why do this? Cuz it matters.

Women are seriously underrepresented in theatre. It is imperative to give space for women to tell their stories. Reality reveals how stories about women, written from the perspective of women, are still very few in the Indonesian performing arts scene. I believe that this scarcity should be remedied by initiating and facilitating the creator mindset, atmosphere, and space.

STAY TUNE FOR MORE INFO!

There are many challenges when our choices are limited because of our gender. But in that challenges, I believe there are a set of choices too. We can choose to see our gender as a limitation and succumb OR we can choose to affirm it as our strength and rise.

So here’s to fellow female artists wherever you are, let us be bold, beautiful, and empowered.

I should've accompanied last night's texts with graphics but since this a-hoe was super busy last night 🌃 I finally came around and made something for #desmondon today lol

@desmondacc I just wanna say that I had the absolute honor from watching you in awe by the sidelines, 🎭 acted alongside you!!, watched you grow as a person and a performer on different stages in Indo, New York, and hopefully more around the world (keeping my promise to attend your winter graduation at RAM fingers crossed!), and be a part of your journey in preparing for a new chapter of your life!!

THANK YOU for letting me and Caresa help you prepare for your trip 💼, it's equally as exciting for us because it made us remember old times lolol

and also thank you for uniting the small little team of #thankyouforthemusic 🎶🎵! Working with everyone you've gathered together in a small little corner for only 3 months has been a whirlwind but also an absolute blast, kudos to our little (as @palkojansow said "Palugada") team that made the concert happen! 🎤

You'll defo do gewd there, enjoy the city that me and @birgitacaresa truly loved! There are many nooks and crannies to explore in London 🇬🇧 food and places wise, so definitely it will be once in a lifetime experience living there!

As lyk yo dad said we're incredibly proud of what you've done and no matter what happens there I'll still be one of your ultimate supporters! ✨✨

Pokoknya pesen w terakhir sama : Jangan lupa telpon kalo udah sampe London WKWKWKWK

(Since anaknya ud kelar abis transit dr Dubai, ttdj ya bosque safe travels to Heathrow!)

Infinite support and virtual hugs from your ex-manager & ex-husbando
Curtis Taylor Jr.

a special shout out to one of the community that is very close to my heart @jakartapac. This community trusted this amateur to portray one of the most complex characters in #dreamgirls, Mr. Curtis Taylor Jr. back then in 2018.

And boy they stepped up in #2019 with their own rendition of @companybway! This lad just wanted to say a big CONGRATULATIONS on the IMMENSE success of Company in Salihara Theatre, Jakarta! I honestly wished to see it live but unfortunately I couldn't, and looking at the positive reviews posted in their instastories, I couldn't have been more proud to be part of their #legacy
--
I honestly couldn't be happier of the hard work the cast and crew has poured into making this high quality of a production, and I still want a West End transfer!!! 😂😂😂
--
Sending love to my dearest of friends @desmondacc @ade_urbanhermit @angelican_diva @asharfina @angelicaheiii, Hans, and the amazing director that made it happen @ipongita 😍😍😍
