You keep telling yourself you’ll take this seriously when you hit 10k.

@siwalker_businesscoach has 2,253 followers.

She’s done £98702 in sales.

We set that account up in February from absolutely nothing. Si works with me on a one to one and her results speak for themselves 🔥

She did not have a rebrand, not an audience she brought with her, a brand new page with zero on it.

I know what you’re thinking because I thought it for years myself. That the followers come first and the money comes after. That there’s a number you’ve got to reach before anyone takes you seriously.

It’s the wrong way round.

Si didn’t build a big account. She built a small one full of the right people, and she knew exactly who those people were before she picked her phone up.

Here’s what she actually did.
1. Si got crystal clear who she can help and exactly how she can help them. Every single piece of content spoke to that exact person. No exceptions.

2. Our aim for her account wasn’t going viral it was getting the exact people to see what she had to offer. It was showing the results from her students so clearly that it was a no brainer for anyone landing on her page that she was the absolute goat at what she does!

3. Si is insane at sales but what she struggled with was visibility so we got razor sharp on the right people following her not just everyone.

Not one of those needed a bigger following. They needed a reason behind every post.

So if you’re sat at 800 followers thinking there’s no point starting yet, this is your sign that there is.

DM me the word “SOCIALS” to find out how to work with me.

I was her first.

That bottom photo is one of the first classes I ever taught, in my own salon in Bolton. I gave half the tickets away for free so there’d be enough people in the room to take a photo.

I was terrified. Not just of teaching it, of putting it on social media after. Who do I think I am. Thats what was going round my head all day.

The one of me in the white top with the neon behind me, I asked my mate to come to the salon and take some pictures on her iPhone because I thought I needed to look a bit more professional. She was there half the day. I got changed about four times. I was so pleased with them at the time and looking back I was just trying to prove something.

And the one of me sat on the couch with the laptop, thats me building my first digital product at eleven at night. My husband had gone to bed with the kids ages before. I remember sitting there thinking what if none of this works. What if I put all this time in and everyone just laughs at me.

Every single one of those photos, I felt like I wasnt good enough. Every one.

What was underneath it was wanting more for my family, and not wanting all of it to depend on me being stood behind that chair. That was it. That was the whole reason I kept going when I felt daft doing it.

And it takes a lot of graft and a lot of work on yourself to get to the point where you believe in yourself more than anyone else ever will. Because thats what it takes. Nobody else is going to do that bit for you.

So dont compare your day one to my day a thousand. We all started somewhere, and mine was a salon in Bolton giving tickets away so the room looked full.

Follow @adelecatherine.socials if you want to watch me build the whole thing again from scratch.

Being a hairdresser is properly hard and I dont think we say it enough.

You do nine hours of it without blinking. Then you open Instagram and decide thats the hard bit.

It isnt, and it definitely doesnt have to be.

DM me the words SOCIALS to learn how you can work with me 🩷

She had 20,000 followers. I told her to start again with ZERO.

8 months later? £150,000 in sales from just 2,500 followers.

And this is EXACTLY why I will never teach you to chase followers for the sake of it.

DM me “SOCIALS” if you’re a fully booked hairdresser ready to turn your knowledge into another income stream.

When Si came to me in February, she was already selling education.

She had 20k followers, years of experience and had even invested £4,000 in another coach.

But her income was all over the place.

One month she’d make sales. The next? Hardly anything.

And the advice she’d been given?

Keep using the 20k account because the followers give you credibility.

I told her the complete opposite.

Her audience had followed her for colour correction education.

But her new business was helping hairdressers attract premium clients.

Two completely different audiences.

So we started again.

A brand new account. One specific audience. One problem to solve. One offer.

And instead of obsessing over follower counts, we focused on getting her content in front of people who actually WANTED what she was selling.

The results?

Within 5 months she’d hit the VAT threshold.

Within 8 months she’d generated over £150k in sales.

She’s now having consistent £25k months.

WITH 2,500 FOLLOWERS.

She’s made more in those months than she did in the previous TWO YEARS.

And here’s what I want you to take from this.

You don’t need 100k followers to build a profitable online business.

You need to know WHO you’re speaking to, WHAT problem you’re solving and WHY they should buy from you.

Because going viral in front of 100,000 people who will never buy from you isn’t a business strategy.

And if you’re already fully booked behind the chair, imagine what you could build if you started putting your knowledge in front of the RIGHT people.

Digital products. Online education. Brand partnerships.

That’s what I help hairdressers build.

Not more salon bookings. More income beyond the chair.

Number 5 hits home every time 🙈

I spent years building a fully booked column, running a salon and thinking the answer to earning more was working MORE.

I’ve since built two successful businesses, sold over 3,000 digital products and cleared £10,000 of debt.

All whilst still working behind the chair.

But I know exactly what it feels like to be stuck in that cycle.

Here are 7 signs you’re on the hairdresser hamster wheel 👇

1. You’re fully booked but still worrying about money.
Your diary’s full, but somehow your bank account doesn’t reflect how hard you’re working.

2. You feel guilty taking a day off.
Because no clients means no money. Even when you’re poorly.

3. You keep saying “I’ll slow down next year.”
But every year looks exactly the same. Just with slightly higher prices.

4. You’re earning more but enjoying life less.
You’ve worked so hard to build your career, but you’ve barely got time to enjoy what you’ve built.

5. You’ve got SO much knowledge but only get paid when you’re doing hair.
Years of experience, thousands spent on education, and your income still depends on your next appointment.

6. You watch other hairdressers making money online and think “I could do that.”
But between clients, kids and running a business, you haven’t got a clue where to start.

7. You love hairdressing but secretly want MORE.
Not necessarily more clients. Just more freedom, more choices and something that doesn’t rely entirely on your two hands.

And here’s what I want you to know.

You don’t have to leave the chair to build income beyond it.

You just need to learn how to turn what you already know into something people will pay for.

That’s exactly what I help hairdressers do.

Being fully booked and making money from Instagram are TWO completely different things.

And if you’re trying to attract clients AND sell your knowledge with the same content, you could be confusing the very people you’re trying to reach.

🩷 DM me “SOCIALS” if you’re ready to start using Instagram to build an income beyond the chair.

I spent years building a fully booked column as a balayage specialist. I knew how to attract clients, but building an online education business? Completely different ball game.

Fast forward and I’ve grown my Instagram by over 200,000 followers, taught thousands of hairdressers worldwide and built multiple income streams from the knowledge I already had.

And here’s what I’ve learnt 👇

Your Instagram needs a JOB.

If you want more salon clients, your content needs to make people want to sit in YOUR chair.

If you want to sell education, digital products or build brand partnerships, your content needs to make people trust what you KNOW.

Same hair transformation. Different hook.

Same expertise. Different audience.

Same Instagram. Completely different strategy.

And this is where so many talented hairdressers get stuck.

They’re posting beautiful hair, attracting other hairdressers, wondering why nobody is booking, then trying to sell education to an audience full of potential clients.

You need to decide WHO you’re speaking to before you decide WHAT to post.

Because 1,000 followers who want what you’re selling are worth far more to your business than 100,000 who don’t.

And if you’re already fully booked, maybe it’s time to stop asking Instagram for more clients and start asking what else your experience could earn you. taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @adelecatherine.socials

Yesterday I couldn’t be arsed doing my makeup.

I was tired from a big travel day the day before. Told myself I’d do it tomorrow.

But here’s the thing.

I KNOW that spending 15 minutes getting myself ready makes me feel better.

So instead of spending 15 minutes doing something that would make me feel good, I spent the entire day feeling like shit.

Make that make sense 😂

Anyway, this morning I got to work and started doing the very thing I avoided yesterday.

And guess what? I already feel 10 times better.

And it got me thinking…

How many times do we do this in our businesses?

We KNOW showing up online will help us grow.

We KNOW creating that content will get us seen.

We KNOW taking that first step could change everything.

But we tell ourselves we’re too tired, too busy or we’ll do it tomorrow.

And tomorrow turns into next week. Then next month.

Sometimes the thing you’re avoiding is the very thing that’s going to move you forward.

So here’s your reminder from a woman currently walking around with half a face of makeup 😂

DO THE THING.

If your ready to take that step and invest in YOU and your GROWTH DM me “SOCIALS” taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @adelecatherine.socials

Can we just appreciate the hairdressers on Instagram who support other hairdressers they’ve never even met?

The ones who comment on your work, share your reels, celebrate your little wins and remind you why you started when you’re having a wobble.

No competition and no weirdness. Just women genuinely wanting to see other women doing well.

Some of the loveliest people I’ve met in this industry are people I’ve never actually met in person.

And I think that’s pretty special.

Send this to your Instagram hairdresser bestie. She deserves to know. x taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @adelecatherine.socials

Turns out the things I used to roll my eyes at are now helping pay my mortgage.

Here’s what I changed……

1. Repeating myself CONSTANTLY.
Just because you’ve said it once doesn’t mean everyone’s seen it. Say it again then again.

2. Actually asking people to BUY.
You can give away free value until you’re blue in the face, but if you never sell, don’t expect sales.

3. Creating content people SAVE, not just LIKE.
Likes are lovely. But content people find useful enough to come back to? That’s what helped me build trust.

4. Treating Instagram like a BUSINESS.
I stopped chasing followers for the sake of it and started attracting people who actually wanted what I was selling.

5. Being CRINGE anyway.
The people I was worried about judging me weren’t going to pay my mortgage, were they?

And here’s the thing…

I’ve now sold over 3,000 digital products whilst STILL working behind the chair.

Not because I posted every day or got lucky with a viral reel.

Because I learnt how to turn my knowledge into something people wanted to pay for.

And now I teach other hairdressers how to do the same.

Fully booked but ready to earn beyond the chair? DM me SOCIALS. 💛

I’ll be straight with you, because that’s what I’d want someone to do for me.

I’m not the coach for every hairdresser, and I’m not going to pretend I am. I could be and I could tell everyone who messages me that I’ll get them 100k followers by Christmas and take their money either way. Plenty do.

But I’ve been in this trade 24 years. I know how hard you work for every pound. I know what it costs you to stand on your feet all day, miss tea with your kids and still worry about next month. The last thing I’m going to do is take that money off you for something I know won’t work for you.

So if you message me and I don’t think I’m the right fit, I’ll tell you. Honestly, I’d rather lose the income than lose your trust.

The hairdressers I work with are already fully booked and ready to earn from what they know, not just from the chair. If that’s you, I know I can help, and I’ll tell you exactly how.

DM me “SOCIALS” and let’s have a proper chat.

And if you know a hairdresser who’s been burned by a coach before, send her this x taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @adelecatherine.socials

I used to lose my whole evening to one carousel in Canva. Moving text boxes about, changing fonts, still not happy at 11pm.

Now I give Claude my script, my photos and 3 carousels I love the look of, and it builds the slides for me. I check slide 1, it does the rest, I post. No AI slop, all your words and your images (like this one)

If you want to do the same, comment PROMPT and I’ll send you my free guide with the exact step by step and both prompts you need to build this yourself.
