Hard to believe I’ve known these women and have played music with them for 7 years now. I’m not exaggerating when I say I remember like it was yesterday when I met Lexy at a show, and she told me her band needed a guitarist. “Oh, I play guitar” I said, and the rest is history. I’m forever grateful for everything Night School has exposed me to, the people I’ve connected to and everything I’ve learned. Being in a band is so fucking fun, thank you @velvet_gentleman_ and @mostlybologna for letting me in ❤️🥲 by @adeyv_haras

My girl dinner 😌

Cocktail: pour two 6.8oz bottles of ginger beer, lemon zest, 1 tbsp grated ginger, juice of half a lemon, 3 tbsp of honey into a glass dish and freeze over night. In a glass add 1 shot bourbon topped with 2 luxardo cherries. Chisel ice and top glass. Dare I say this is an immune boosting cocktail during this flu season? It’s healthy!

Easy Spicy Pasta Vodka: 1 jar of Carbone spicy vodka sauce, bacon, shallot, heavy cream, rigatoni pasta, parm. Idk the measurements just “measure with your heart” or some shit.

Today is Truffle’s 10th birthday and it’s bittersweet. On September 26th we were given the devastating news that Truffle has cancer due to a mass on her kidney, and that it has spread to other parts of her body. We immediately took her to UC Davis for a second opinion where she was poked and prodded, put under, given an x-ray and an ultrasound, only for us to essentially be given the same news. As I type this up it is really hard for my brain to process that this will be the last birthday with my girl. For those of you that don’t know, I have known Truffle since the day she was born. When she was no bigger than a guinea pig and couldn’t even open her eyes. I brought her into my house at 6 weeks old and the rest is history. When she was a baby, I would always hear, “that looks just like a little bear!”, and I would walk her around the university near our old house and all the college students would lose their minds over her. She’s the most loved dog I’ve ever known, and I hope she knows how loved she truly is. 10 is a big birthday in general for a dog, but I’m going to try to make today extra extra special for her. Everyone please send her good thoughts and well wishes as we navigate through this difficult time. Happy birthday Truffle, I’ll love you forever ❤️ by @adeyv_haras

Finished my bag today and had the opportunity to shoot it with the most gorgeous model. Immediately after the shoot she took it off and threw it on the floor which was kind of rude imo but I also respect it! I made this bag like 10 years ago but just upgraded it a bit. Made a new shoulder strap, embossed design, new hardware and new buckle tabs with a matte leather to match the new tag on the front. #bagshit by @adeyv_haras

3/5 Idk if the speaker is broken for the first set of self playing instruments, but it added to the feeling of being inside someone’s fever dream. I could have easily spent an hour in the Sugarplum Fairy room, but even while somewhat rushing through the house it took us 3 hours to finish. Last but not least, the largest carousel in the mf WORLD is inside this house. The carousel itself was an antique from the early 20th century, super-powered with an electric motor and expanded in size to the point where 18 wheels were required running around the underside to support the disc’s weight. When the house is open, the carousel runs continuously, lit by 182 chandeliers. On the carousel are a total of 269 animals, and none of them are horses.

2/5 this is still section 1 of the house and hasn’t gotten totally unhinged yet believe it or not. The start of this video is pretty obvious, it’s an old village with an animatronic drum line on a gigantic organ that looks like a steam boat, all built to scale, duh! Who doesn’t have that in their house?! The next room is harder to describe. You walk inside and are greeted by the sound of an animatronic marine life band playing Octopus’s Garden. To your left you immediately notice a GIGANTIC life-size killer whale being attacked by an equally massive squid. The whale is reportedly 200 ft tall, and you walk up a 3 story ramp circling the whale to have different views. Part of the ramp goes u der the whales teeth and I admit that made me feel SO uneasy, borderline ill? I hated it and loved it at the same time. Not to mention when you get to the top of the ramp it is about 80+ degrees and you immediately just want to get down. The next room smelled like pizza with not a morsel of food in sight, but you’re greeted by hot air balloons and a big fluorescent sign of a guy holding donuts lol. This room was very tame, it mostly showcased very old horse carriages, cars and had huge empty old school diners that were totally stocked, but not functioning. Idk if they ever do, but I’d like to think the full ketchup packets and the crumpled paper napkin on the table are all part of the installation.
