The thing I’m most proud of isn’t having 700k social media followers. It’s not getting my doctorate at 28.It’s not having lived in 5 different countries. What I’m most proud of is that I get to support neurodivergent individuals and ADHDers every single day 💛Whether it’s in 1:1 sessions or my group coaching, people trust me with their experiences, their struggles, and their stories, and I don’t take that lightly. 💚After my own diagnosis, I remember feeling lost. And finding specialized, understanding support from trained professionals wasn’t easy.🧠That’s a big part of why I do what I do now.I wanted to create a space where people feel understood, supported, and not alone in this.Being able to do this work means more to me than any number ever could ✨Thank you to everyone who trusts me to be part of their journey 💛If you’re interested in what working with me could look like, comment “coaching” and I’ll send you more information 💬#adhd #adhdcommunity #adhdcoach #adhdawareness #adhdpsychologist by @adhd_empowerment_coaching

📸 Photo dump from my recent work trip to Canada! 🇨🇦 Had the most amazing time in Calgary connecting with incredible people, sharing ideas, and soaking in the beauty around Banff. Here’s what you’re seeing:1️⃣ Hosting my book event at @shelflifebooks with the amazing @ellyce.fulmore 2️⃣ Spotted my book on the shelf (still gives me a jolt of joy every time 💛).3️⃣ When your international work connection turns into friendship! Anu, clinic director at @we.are.aligned.minds , showed me around Calgary and Banff. The nature is absolutely stunning! 4️⃣ I had the privilege of leading a Lunch & Learn @we.are.aligned.minds , sharing how we can better support ADHD clients and create inclusive, neurodivergent-affirming spaces.5️⃣ My book made the bestseller list in Calgary, truly surreal and so exciting!6️⃣ Wrapped it all up with some much-needed nature time around beautiful Banff 🌲🏔️Thank you to this amazing ADHD community and for making all of this possible!! Did you know that stimming isn’t just something autistic people experience? Many people with ADHD and AuDHD (ADHD + Autism) stim too 💛Stimming is a form of self-regulation. It can help us:✨ manage sensory input✨ regulate emotions✨ release nervous energy✨ improve focus and concentration✨ cope with overwhelmIt might look like:🧠 leg bouncing🧠 fidgeting with objects🧠 pacing🧠 playing with your hair🧠 tapping your fingers🧠 repeating sounds or phrasesFor many neurodivergent people, stimming isn’t something that needs to be “fixed.”It’s often the nervous system’s way of saying:“This is helping me regulate.”The problem isn’t usually the stimming itself. It’s often the shame people have been taught to feel about it.💛 Do you stim? If so, what’s your most common stim?#AuDHD #ADHD #adhdcommunity #Neurodivergent #ADHDAwareness by @adhd_empowerment_coaching

Do you ever feel like everything suddenly becomes “too much” with ADHD? 😭The lights feel too bright. The noise feels too loud.Your clothes suddenly feel uncomfortable.People keep talking and your brain just wants silence.ADHD isn’t only about attention and focus, many ADHDers also experience sensory overload.Because ADHD brains are constantly trying to process and regulate:🧠 sounds🧠 lights🧠 textures🧠 conversations🧠 movement🧠 emotionsAnd sometimes the nervous system simply becomes overwhelmed.Sensory overload can look like:✨ needing sunglasses outside✨ getting irritated by small noises✨ shutting down emotionally✨ wanting to isolate after busy environments✨ feeling overwhelmed in crowded places✨ needing silence after social interactionYou’re not “too sensitive.”Your nervous system might just be overloaded 💛#ADHDlife #SensoryOverload #Neurodivergent #ADHDawareness #MentalHealthMatters by @adhd_empowerment_coaching

Have you ever felt like you’re constantly “performing” around other people? 🧠That could be ADHD masking.Masking is when you hide, suppress, or overcompensate for your ADHD traits so you can appear more “put together,” focused, calm, or easy to be around. It can look like:✨ Forcing yourself to sit still✨ Overpreparing so no one notices you’re struggling✨ Laughing things off when you’re overwhelmed✨ Mirroring others socially✨ Hiding forgetfulness or disorganization✨ Saying “I’m fine” when you’re actually exhaustedAnd while masking can help you feel safer in the short term, over time, it can become incredibly draining. This amazing illustration is by @psycho_edu_akcja #ADHDlife #ADHDmasking #Neurodivergent #ADHDawareness #MentalHealthMatters by @adhd_empowerment_coaching

Have you heard of RSD before? 🧠💫RSD is when perceived rejection, criticism, or disapproval feels extremely intense and hard to shake. For ADHDers, it can show up as:✨ Overthinking conversations✨ Feeling deeply hurt by small tone shifts✨ Assuming you did something wrong✨ People-pleasing to avoid conflict✨ Avoiding situations where rejection might happenIt’s not “being too sensitive.”It’s an intense emotional response that can feel very real in the moment 💛#adhd #adhdeducation #adhdcoach #neurodiversity #adhdexplained by @adhd_empowerment_coaching
