Community Concert mit Adi Goradia am 22. Oktober in der Handpan Family

Adi kommt ursprünglich aus Mumbai und lebt heute in London. Seit drei Jahren spielt der 27-Jährige Handpan und nutzt das Instrument, um auszudrücken, wofür Worte oft nicht ausreichen. In seine Musik lässt er Geschichten, Emotionen und eigene Erfahrungen einfließen.
Was er an der Handpan besonders liebt, sind die Begegnungen und Verbindungen, die durch sie entstehen. Genau das lebt er auch: In den letzten zwei Jahren hat er in London eine Handpan Community aufgebaut, zu der inzwischen fast 100 Musikbegeisterte gehören.

Originally from Mumbai, Adi now lives in London. The 27-year-old has been playing the handpan for three years and uses the instrument to express what words often can't. He weaves stories, emotions and his own experiences into his music.
What he loves most about the handpan are the encounters and connections it creates. And that's exactly what he lives by: over the past two years, he has built a handpan community in London that now brings together almost 100 music lovers.

Feeling very grateful looking back at this one 🤍

Just over two years ago, I flew to Berlin for a handpan workshop with Malte Marten @maltemarten 🛸

Getting to learn from someone whose music I’d already spent thousands of hours listening to felt pretty surreal. Seeing his approach up close, picking up little ideas and hearing that sound in the room was such a beautiful and inspiring experience❣️

I already loved the handpan then, but that afternoon pulled me even deeper into it. Since then, there’s been so much playing, composing, experimenting and discovering just how much this instrument can help express🤍

What I remember just as fondly are the people I met there. Some had travelled a long way for those few hours too, all brought together by this slightly unusual instrument and the beautiful world around it. There was something really special about connecting so naturally through music🫂

Looking back now, I feel so grateful for moments like these that helped shape not only my relationship with the handpan, but also my desire to keep connecting with people through it 🛸🌿

Funny how a few hours around an instrument can become part of a much bigger story ✨

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒐 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆? 💭

Money, status, borders, ownership, endless economic growth. So much of the world we live by is something we created ourselves, yet we’ve somehow come to treat ‘more’ as inherently better.

More wealth. More power. More control. More than the person next to us. And sometimes we value these things enough to divide ourselves, fight over them, even hurt one another for them.

And then you sit somewhere like this and it becomes hard not to question what progress actually means. We can build more, own more, reach further, perhaps even beyond this planet - but if we still struggle to live peacefully with one another, how much have we really progressed?

Maybe the most meaningful thing we can expand isn’t our territory, our wealth or our reach, but our humanity 🤍🕊️☮️🌍✨

London Handpan Ensemble - Jam #11 ✨

Still feeling the magic from this one 🤍

Jam 11 brought together so many familiar faces and so many new ones, and somehow turned into one of our most beautiful and experimental gatherings yet. 🫂🫶🏽

Handpans met Tibetan bowls, gongs, djembe, guitar, chanting, dancing, charms and all sorts of unexpected sounds 🎶✨

Different instruments, different age groups, different levels of experience, all found a way to create something beautiful together 💫

As the evening went on, the music slowly gave way to dancing, conversations, new connections, and one of the best sunsets in London as we called off the evening with some drinks by the lake 🌅

It’s incredibly heartwarming watching this community grow so quickly built on a foundation of openness, curiosity and kindness that started it 🤍

Thank you to everyone who came and brought a little piece of themselves to the circle 🙏

It’s still such a nice feeling to meet people, that put in the effort to learn one of my melodies (in this case: „hourglass“) 😍 especially when they are badass human beings like @adi_handpan - such a joy to have met you at @panparadisehandpan spent time with you and jam together 🫶🏼

My first time exploring handpan alongside voice, and couldn’t have been happier to create this with the wonderful @maybeitschar whose voice is so gentle, calming and warm 🎶🤍

We shared a beautiful afternoon in Richmond Park, surrounded by trees, deers and the sounds of nature 🦌🌳🍃
Nature gave us a perfect little space to slow down, breathe, and let the music flow 💫

A special jam from a memorable evening 🛸🎶✨

A few weeks ago @amy_naylor_smiles and @rosiebergonzi invited me over for a jam - and this piece was completely improvised, just ideas bouncing around the room and finding their own shape 🎵🌿

This is what I love about jams like this. No plan, no agenda - just listening and responding, and something unexpected emerging between people. Still makes me smile watching it back 🤍

Amy and Rosie are two of the finest handpan players in the UK - two wonderful humans and it was such a joy to be in the room with them making music 🙏✨

🌒 Late night diaries⚡️

At 2am on the final night of PanParadise, Louis and I were lost in a little D Aegean jam when the thunder started rolling across the sky⚡️

We couldn’t have imagined a more fitting song than Message from the Stars by @maltemarten before closing the night, so we decided to capture the moment.

And as we played, the thunder kept answering from somewhere in the distance - two handpans, a sky full of energy, and the biggest smiles on our faces ✨

One of those moments that feels almost too perfectly timed to be real ✨

So grateful for this connection 🤍
