Once again, our dear friends from Rome will join us for dinners among friends. Same procedure as always. Or almost.

On Saturday, we’ll start at lunch and stop sometime during the evening, serving the classics: salume, pasta dishes and, of course, dessert.

On Sunday, lunch again and then a Community Dinner as we know it, with all the trimmings.

So brace yourselves, go for long walks, and watch “La Grande Bellezza” before we meet for “Cene tra Amici – Amore e un po’ di vino.”

Reservations will open on our website somewhere next week. Subscribers of our newsletter will have receive an early communication about it, so sign up if you haven’t already. taken in Admiralgade 26 by @admiralgade26

Thank you for 3 wondrous days 🐎🐎🐎🐎

We feel grateful, humbled, slightly hung over and very happy. After a tremendous week a spree of profound gratitude is in order:

Starting with happy clapping and high fives to you: @fourhorsemenbk for bringing your game: Thank you immensely; Ed, Kat, Amanda and Will. Thank you Levy for joining us! And Matt, thank you for the music. It has been a blast working, drinking and sharing time with you lovely people.

Wednesday at Ved Stranden 10 was special. I think that was the conclusion we reached around midnight or so and we confirmed it the next morning.

Thank you for your generosity setting this up and most importantly for the beats: Matt, Christian, Jonas, Jonas and James.

Thank you to all who showed up at both corners; participated, ate, drank and contributed to three magical days.

Thank you Mike Paré for the art work, Every Night Studios for the merch and Simon @srent.dk for the sound gear.

And finally (and then I stop): I’m forever grateful for the effort and spirit of the custodians at our two corners. Thank you for being you, each and every one.

Thank you, C by @admiralgade26

On June 10th of 2016, Admiralgade 26 opened its doors for the first time. Ten years, a round number and a decade of faces, stories, late nights, and happy accidents, enough to fill a book we’ll probably never sit still long enough to write.

Fernando Pessoa once wrote, “tudo vale a pena quando an alma não é pequena” meaning: everything is worthwhile when the soul isn’t small. That feels right. This corner has always been bigger than its walls.

For now, we’ll do what we do best: open a bottle of sake, raise our glasses, and look around with deep appreciation. To the guests, the friends, the guests who became friends, and to every person who ever tied an apron in this corner: you made this corner what it is, and for that we sincerely thank you. Here’s to you and to ten years of a life well lived. May ten more come. taken in Admiralgade 26 by @admiralgade26

What a week! I mean last week.

The week we turned 10 years and had a wondrous visit from Japan and Helsinki. A week where we created long lasting memories and new relations and as we said; “This is my new best friend” when presenting people to people.

We also received a review from Berlingske, timed perfectly with our birthday. It is always with some suspense you anticipate the publication, but the good news was out when my “godmother” called us Thursday evening during service and proudly announced the breaking news!

So, after service we read and read again, raised a glass and felt seen.

Now, with a bit of distance and reflection, I want to give praises to Jonas: our head chef since the first day of Admiralgade 26 and of course also to everyone who, in the past and present, have contributed to our corners.

But to Jonas especially, who with great care and dedication has created his culinary language and for 10 years negotiated spontaneous behavior by life, elephants and patrons.

The last passage in the review summarises our corner and Jonas eloquently:
“At Admiralgade you are embraced by yesterday, today and tomorrow. The food is effortlessly innovative, elegant and at the same time pumped with elemental deliciousness. “

Thank you Jonas, we are ever grateful for your presence.

9. TEA OFFERING ROOM

Not a tea room for drinking tea.

A room for offering it.

In Japan, there is a long tradition of preparing tea not only for people, but also for a place itself.

Tea may be offered to a shrine, a temple, or simply to mark the beginning of a shared moment.

It is a quiet gesture of attentiveness — toward the season, the space, and what cannot be seen.

For 3daysofdesign, we have created a Tea Offering Room within the osaa exhibition.

Selected bowls from the collection are presented through the act of offering tea, inviting visitors to experience the vessels not only as objects, but through the intentions and gestures that bring them into use.

A hanging scroll sets the theme.

Silence becomes part of the space.

And contemplation becomes part of the experience.

We invite you to pause for a moment and enter a different rhythm of time.

The exhibition is open daily from 10:00–18:00 and free to visit.

During @3daysofdesign Admiralgade 26 opens its doors to a unique exhibition of Japanese tableware as @asahiyaki launches its new collection: Osaa. This in collaboration with Finland-based @studio_kaksikko.

Tea is an essential part of Asahiyaki history as well as for the town of Uji. Not only will we prepare tea for general enjoyment and consumption appropriately guided by our dear friends at @singtehus , but Asahiyaki will also install a ‘Chashitsu’, a tea offering room at Admiralgade 26, opening by 10:00.

As our restaurant partly acts a gallery during daytime, we have decided to turn the other half into a ‘Shokudo’: a Japanese eatery serving our bento tray, recently added to our normal lunch menu, served from 12:00 to sold out.

Besides the Bento tray, it will also be possible to stop by for a glass of something, a cup of enjoyment or any other drink in your preferred vessel of choice. taken in Admiralgade 26 by @admiralgade26

8 ATSUSHI NAKAHIGASHI

osaa was not created by designers and potters alone.

From the very beginning, chefs were part of the conversation.

Among them was Atsushi Nakahigashi, chef and owner of So /s/ KAWAHIGASHI in Kyoto.

Throughout the development of the collection, we spoke about food, hospitality, and the rituals that gather people around a table. Together, we explored what a vessel can be—not as an object in itself, but as part of an experience.

Several pieces within the osaa collection emerged directly from these conversations.

On 12 June, Atsushi will travel from Kyoto to Copenhagen for a special dinner at Admiralgade 26.

For one evening, the vessels shaped through dialogue with him will return to the table alongside his cuisine.

Food and vessels.
Maker and user.
Kyoto and Copenhagen.

A gathering that brings the story of osaa to life.

7 FOOD EXPERIENCE

A vessel is only truly completed when it is used.

During 3daysofdesign, osaa will move beyond the exhibition space and onto the table through a series of food experiences created in collaboration with Admiralgade 26.

Throughout the festival, guests will be able to experience the collection as part of daily service, where food, vessels, and hospitality come together.

On 12 June, chef Atsushi Nakahigashi of Kyoto’s So /s/ KAWAHIGASHI joins Admiralgade 26 for a special kaiseki-inspired dinner, exploring Japanese seasonal cuisine through the osaa collection.

On 13 June, we will present Choshoku — a special lunch inspired by the simplicity and depth of the Japanese breakfast table.

We hope these gatherings offer an opportunity not only to see the vessels, but to experience them in the way they were intended: in use, around a table, shared with others.

Exhibition and dining experiences at Admiralgade 26, Copenhagen.

3. STORY OF DIALOGUE

osaa did not begin with a sketch.

It began with conversations.

@studio_kaksikko
@asahiyaki

Conversations around food, tea, hospitality, light, materials, and the small gestures that shape an experience.

Over the course of a year, Asahiyaki and Kaksikko met with three restaurants — GRÖN in Helsinki, Admiralgade 26 in Copenhagen, and So /s/ KAWAHIGASHI in Kyoto.

Each place offered its own perspective, rhythm, and way of gathering people around a table.

The result is not a collection designed for one restaurant, but a collection shaped by the dialogue between them.

Three restaurants.
Three cities.
One collection.
