Chuseok is all about family, gratitude, and honoring roots. We were incredibly honored to host @a.d._herzel who shared her personal Jesa rituals and poetry in 2025 at our Self Care Workshop. Her words brought profound comfort and resonance to adoptees navigating the complexities of connecting with their ancestry. by @adopteehub

🇰🇷 Happy Korean Liberation Day! | 광복절

Today, August 15, we celebrate 광복절 (Gwangbokjeol) — Korean Liberation Day, marking Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule in 1945 after 35 years of occupation.

광복 means “the return of light,” symbolizing the restoration of Korea’s freedom and identity.

Today is a day to remember the courage and sacrifices of those who fought for independence, honor Korea’s history, and celebrate the strength and resilience of the Korean people.
