If you’re new here, welcome. I’m glad you found your way to this space. And to everyone who’s been here, following, engaging, sharing, showing up, and staying curious, thank you.

Every day, I see as an opportunity to champion artists from an assembly of diverse communities whose practices are living manifestations of the world around us, its beauty, contradictions, struggles, histories, and possibilities.

Art gives us a way to say the important things. To make space for what needs to be seen, heard, questioned, celebrated, and shared. And, just as importantly, to share those things in joy.

This is what I’m here for. To build platforms, amplify voices, connect communities, and celebrate the artists shaping the world we’re living in, and the world we’re imagining next.

There are some pieces of art that feel like more than just a finished work, they carry a story of patience, perseverance and the journey it took to create them.

This beautiful diptych by Marquetry Artist Carl Fox will be making its way to its new forever home in the coming days, and it marks a particularly special moment in Carl’s journey.

The quiet moments of learning his craft. The countless hours of practice. The hard graft, the patience, the setbacks and the determination that followed, all of it has led him to where he is today: exactly where he is supposed to be.

In his studio, creating beautiful works of art by hand. Crafting heirlooms built to last, to be cherished, and hopefully to inspire for generations to come.

Watching that journey unfold has been a privilege, and seeing pieces like this find their forever homes makes it all the more meaningful.
