The most amazing mother on the planet left us today and went straight to heaven.

Mom, you were the best. Your kindness, sweetness, and positivity were a blessing to everyone around you, and your faith, love, and guidance shaped who I am. Thank you for always supporting me. I’ll love you forever. 🤍

Some weekends are just weekends. Others become memories you’ll talk about for years. This one was definitely the latter. A guys’ weekend in Blue Ridge, GA we were down two...but the guys there made this weekend one for the ages...
We packed a lot into a few days with plenty of laughs along the way. We saw deer, turtles, wild turkeys, beavers… and even came about as close as we needed to — to a bear encounter. 🐻😳
Great food. Great adventures. Great conversations. And most importantly, great friends.
Life gets busy, and time seems to move faster every year. That’s why weekends like this are worth remembering — getting away, enjoying the outdoors, laughing until your sides hurt, and making more memories with people who have been there through the years.
Blue Ridge was an incredible backdrop, but it was the company that made the weekend.
Here’s to lifelong friendships, good times, and hopefully many more adventures ahead. 🍻⛰️

I am posting this on the day ZZ Top’s drummer Frank Beard passed away. The hall of famer died at the age of 77. I will never forget this impromptu interview I did with the band in East Tennessee. RIP to one of the great! Here’s my post from years ago….
I am interviewing ZZ Top in this picture back in 1999 in East Tennessee. Before they took the stage and played for two hours, they had to be evacuated from their dressing room when a fire alarm was pulled in the building in Johnson City. A great concert and cool interview with the guys from Texas. by @adoug867

Had an amazing time emceeing The Men Wear Pink Flamingo Brunch Soiree!
At Bridges in Downtown Memphis Sunday!
These men are not wasting time raising money for the American Cancer Society. The AMC raises money for cancer research conducted right here in Memphis. Kim Harper-Johnson and I hosted a wonderful event filled with pink beauty and also fundraising and networking for a great cause.

I was a Men Wear Pink Ambassador in 2021 and for the past 12 years Andrew’s Pink Tie Campaign allows me to tell your stories fighting cancer. There are so many strong women and men who fight cancer each and every year. Please consider donating to the American Cancer Society in Memphis where the research stays here in Memphis.
At the same time, please consider sending me a tie in honor of or in memory of a family member or loved one who had or is still fighting breast cancer. I will wear a different pink tie during the month of October and tell your story.
God bless.

Hey Instagram fam!

Just got back from eight days in Ireland and Scotland. Tina and I saw my cousin, Dino, from Greece who lives in Dublin. He is doing great there and we had dinner with him every night in Dublin. We spent 3 days in Ireland, enjoyed the Guinness tour and of course the old pubs…and new architecture on the river… we took breathtaking Cliff walks in Howth, enjoyed fresh seafood, saw Trinity college, St. Patrick’s Cathedral… all with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s with highs in the low to mid 70s.

We then spent 4 days in Scotland…. Edinburgh is where we landed but we felt like we saw so much of the country… the Highlands, Glasgow and tours through Edinburgh gave us great insight into the country’s rich past while discovering more of its cultural today through arts music and its people. The art galleries are free and fantastic… saw everything from Da Vinci to Claude Monet to Rembrandt to Picasso to Salvador Dali! Walked around the University of Glasgow est in 1453. So much history there and we learned so much of it through some amazing guides and locals.

Our meals were fantastic! A great slice of fresh meats fish vegetables…creative concoctions with great drinks to celebrate the moments! As always the pictures do not do it justice!

Great to get away but also great to be back and looking forward being back at work tomorrow! taken in Ireland & Scotland by @adoug867

It’s not too often you stay in touch with a college professor who helped you on your journey… but then again you don’t know Ken Fischer. He’s still teaching decades later and I am sure his students are getting the best education as a result.. Ken is a legend and the same guy I knew in college. He is someone who was amazing to work with, who came to my wedding and has remained in touch all these decades later. So amazing to have lunch with him today. He’s in town for a baseball conference. @kenfischer3 taken in The Majestic Grille by @adoug867
