We’re so happy to share that Jaybird Kingsway has been shortlisted for this year’s Frame Awards in the Wellness Space category. We loved building this space alongside the devoted design team at @wearefuturestudio - along with the entire consultant team that made this space a reality. Right around the moment we were feeling nostalgic about our build of last year’s In/Tension — the central bar feature for @idsvancouver— we got an email from our friends Paul Koopman and Jessica Yarish (now with @on_architecture_inc ) letting us know it’s been shortlisted as part of the Top 50 list for the @dezeenawards_ in our region! What a great reminder of a project that was just so fun to be part of. Congrats to the entire team that helped bring this one together - it took a village. We’re looking forward to seeing this year’s STILL/Not Still by @synthesisdesign - early kudos to them for putting BC wood front and center and keeping timber top of mind. See you in a few weeks! Bringing it back to one of our OG projects that got the wheels spinning for AD. The install of this roaster for @counterpartcoffee in Squamish was a mechanical upgrade we managed back in 2022. It’s easy to move fast and not look back, but every so often, photos like these remind us where we started, and how much that early work shaped the way we build now. We’ve got a few new café builds underway that we’re itching to share. Funny how this one feels like it was quietly preparing us for them all along. #CafeDesign #SquamishBC #CommercialConstruction #SmallBusinessBuild taken in Squamish, British Columbia by @adprojectsinc

We rarely get to step behind the scenes of our built spaces once the work is done - to watch how a kitchen actually moves through service, how the floors hold up under busy feet, and the excitement of guests when their food is delivered. We got a chance to capture these moments at our recently completed build for E.A.K Ramen. @eakramen__ca is a warm, talented team who recently brought their brand to Canada, and seeing their space come to life was a good reminder of why we build the way we do. Special thanks to @devicphotos for always understanding the assignment, and to the full team behind this one. #tenantimprovement #hospitalityconstruction #eakramen #torontofood #commercialconstruction taken in Toronto, Canada by @adprojectsinc

hey! it’s adison. I don’t speak personally on here often but had a cool moment I wanted to share. last night I decided to visit a site to take photos of a slab pour we had just completed and found myself wanting to hang around in the stillness for a while; sweeping the concrete, looking closely at the way it set, how it interacted with the dye, and admiring how each variation in tone and texture contribute to its unique characteristics. slowing down like this to observe a project, I start to see the beauty hidden within construction materials, the approach and methods of our sub trades; intent starting to form. there is a comforting nostalgia for me and a peace about an empty job site in the evening. I’m able to look at it differently than I am during the busyness of the workday. It reminds me why I love this industry as much as I do. client concept, vision of the design team, hours of conversations developing each detail; slowly starting to appear, stepping from the abstract into the physical world. It was nice to see and feel this. ✌️ by @adprojectsinc

The 48-Hour Build. It’s commonplace for our tenant improvement projects to operate on tight timelines but the world of IDS moves at a different pace entirely. These temporary spaces come together in a blur of urgency that is equal parts exciting, exhausting and demanding. We wanted to bring you into that rhythm - where troubleshooting, testing and project management happen simultaneously.
