Took this rainy video almost three years ago today -- i had moved to New York a few months before -- a few months after half of my life fell apart and less than two months before the other half of my life would fall apart 😂

and it kept breaking and remaking and breaking and remaking like I never knew how many rock bottoms i could find here and how many corners of rock bottom one could find themselves in

and yet

Even w the setbacks n constraints n haters n weirdos m rats and leeches n mold n vultures n abandonments n traps n flops I am in aweeeee witnessing the magic of this strange messy place -- dark magic and luminescent magic and unspeakable unknowable magic that I have seen here! In myself and around me and in the people in the creatures I've encountered. in pigeon flocked blue skies and torrential rainy grey skies and smell garbage mounds and thousands of rats n roachies crawling into the dark crevices !

grateful for tha creatures n clowns I found here and that found me here in my time so far here and I hope hope hope I'll stay learning and becoming and training and growing and creating for many many many chapters ahead I'm not done w you yet nyc

in this liminal chapter on on on forward forward forward I will go i will run I will dance and leap n sing yap n I will plaaaaaay I will go fast and slow and plank I will cast spellllssss and conjure conjure conjure even as the world endssssss well keep creating and telling our stories and getting a little it lost sometimes in the mess of it all bc one day maybe ill look back and long for the unknowability of the mess by @adri.tavrs
