Meet Glyn 👋🏻

Glyn is our skipper, who is currently busy route planning before we set sail in July later this year 🌊 he will be our navigator and logistics man!

This is not Glyn’s first rodeo on an ocean rowing boat; he took part in the 3000 mile Atlantic Challenge in 2018 for team called Rowing4Victory, and was a co-skipper for a crew rowing from Oslo to Gothenburg with Roxy Adventures in 2024.

We are thankful to have such a knowledgeable skipper, and one with good humour, grit, and determination to get us around Norways coastline 🇳🇴

FORMALLY INTRODUCING THE NORDIC ENDEAVOUR | It’s all kicking off this Friday, with the first YouTube video in this series. In this episode I met with Glynn for the first time since we began talking about the endeavour over 2 years ago, as we dipped our toes in to what we will be in for next summer.

I’m super excited that this expedition has officially taken off, and I can’t wait to share more over the coming months as I prepare for my biggest challenge yet. I hope you enjoy!

2000kms from Kirkenes to Ålesund ✅

While not Oslo, we are grateful to have made it 2000kms through a lot of rain, rain, and more rain, and some very stormy seas with a little amount of sunshine thrown in.

From not one rudder break, but two … not only did we make it, we cleared up a whole lot of rubbish from the ocean and beaches along the way!

We met amazing local communities, fellow adventurers, and a few whales too.

While the rowing itself is over - for now - the purpose of this challenge isn’t. We want to continue our objectives of protecting our marine environment and raising money for the wonderful charity, Air Ambulances UK.

Well we have finally done it 2000 km later two tons of trash collected and some very sore hands and bums but what a trip it was.

A big thanks to all the support throughout this whole journey we couldn’t have done it without everybody contributing.

We still plan to continue raising money a bit longer for our charities and our causes feel free to help us out as much as you can.

CODZILLA

Well my first cod, maybe not quite codzilla but for a first cod on the speargun it was a really nice size. This beauty was sat in less then 4m of crystal clear water. New experience to see such big cod so shallow unlike UK. Thanks to cameraman Josh from @souls_untapped for these epic images. Shout out to @frivannsliv amazing wetsuit, I’ve been 4hours in the water at 12 deg C and the 7mm suit has been amazing. Shout out to @martinhelseth for sharing a good spot, one I’d love to return to maybe during halibut season 😏. Also thanks to dive buddy @anders_thormann for sharing the speargun, sharing really is caring. Overall a great day with the crew of @nordic_endeavour_2026 let’s hope we get some more before the end.

On July 10th, we begin a 3,000km rowing expedition from Kirkenes to Oslo. Around the entire Norwegian coastline.

Four rowers, six weeks, 2h rowing - 2h rest

Nordic Endeavour is partnering with Rewild Norway, and our aim is to explore Norway's marine ecosystems and the impact of marine litter.
Along the way, we will visit local initiatives, organize cleanups, and learn from the people working to protect and restore our coastal waters.
