We’re showing some work at Crosstown Arts, and there’s an opening reception May 30, 6-8 pm. We would luvvvv for you to come. @lauritzenwrightart and the metal museum have shows up as well and the infinitely cool @mrboyland will be DJing - we are in truly gorgeous company.

Bleeding Together is a body of work we created that delves into our process as A Correspondence. Our wheat pasted street art brought into the gallery, deconstructed into wood panels and displayed in a way that invites you to investigate how the pieces fit together, how meaning shifts with each new arrangement. Bleeding Together explores what it means to coalesce and be vulnerable, to find community and tend to our wounds with one another. It’s an intimate conversation you’re welcome to over hear. Come through por favor 😘 taken in Crosstown Arts by @ae_arauz

Incredibly honored that @cleat.art pulled together such an eclectic group of makers to create one big vibrant room full of stories. It’s humbling to share this space with all of you and catch the glimpses of what makes the needle move in your interior journeys. I’m so excited to see the power in community at work once again.

To Get to the Other Side is a collaborative body of work which considers safety as both destination and condition. The work emerges from lived experiences shaped by violence, including sexual and domestic abuse, and a generational history of displacement and emigration. In this context, safety is not a certain endpoint but a horizon pursued through distance both physical and temporal, conviction, and survival instinct.

Using compositional clusters of found images and confessional free verse poetry wheat-pasted on wood panel, this transit toward sanctuary is considered through proximity and intersection. Each walking figure has been lifted from its own unique and ambiguous context. Their stories—however we may understand them—are reframed or reimagined as they interact with one another and become part of a collective condition, interwoven through fields of first-person memory. By presenting the poem in fragments on the figures’ silhouettes, it becomes another member of this crowd of characters, nodding to the interiority of the people depicted on these panels.

The work considers the crossing of paths as each of us engages in our own movements towards our own refuge; the providence—both seen and unseen—that guides where our bodies go and why; and the record and remembrance of these steps as they accumulate across time. by @ae_arauz

Join us the evening of February 27th for the opening of Pedacitos y Paredes, an exhibition featuring 10 Memphis-based artists of Latine backgrounds.

The show centers the little pieces of material and memory, calling to the ways we make meaning and the walls that contain and or hold our pieces.

We’ll also have a fundraiser in support of orgs that support immigrant communities. Save the date: March 21, 2026

Exhibited at UrbanArt Commission through their exhibition space call to Artists.

En Este Hogar Hay Niños
Mixed media collage on canvas
48”x48”
2025

“En Este Hogar Hay Niños,” translates from Spanish to, “There are children in this home.”–– a reference to signage adorning homes of Nicaraguan people during anti government demonstrations in summer 2018. These signs were erected after an event in which military police burned down a home, with residents and their children locked inside as punishment for refusing to cooperate with the suppression of protestors. This piece is a playful reconstruction of memories through mixed media; an attempt to merge the past and present, and the violent struggles of Nicaragua into one harmonious history of chaos, oppression, and resilience. Nicaragua’s trauma is an inheritance; in some ways a genetic trait many of us bear witness to directly, and others from afar. From colonial occupation of indigenous land, to 20th century dictatorships, to 21st century uprisings, this depiction speaks to the preservation of what is sacred and resistance to erasure. by @ae_arauz
