📍 LaRayia’s Bodega, PCM
So good that I had to come back again! Let’s support black owned businesses this month and every month! They they most refreshing smoothies served inside of PCM next to St. Germain’s. This time I tried the Cardi Bacardi which had such a cute color and was rich in its deep guava flavor ( perfect if you’re wanting a tropical vibe)!

The weather has been warming up so… by @aeatsss

If anyone ever mentions Indian food… just know that i’m there ❤️ I’m very happy to share this collage of this amazing chana masala I made last month. I discovered Indian cuisine in college, and it has become one of my all time favorite comfort meals. I’ve enjoyed dining out and trying different Indian restaurants, but I love creating the dishes at home even more😌 This was my first time making naan and it was absolutely delicious and the kitchen smells were out of this world.

Would you try this?🇮🇳

A every loaded housewife Sunday mukbang and vlog which turned into a whole lot of intermissions and a whole lot of laying out in the sun🌞

No day is complete without matcha.
@bearlyawake_coffee ‘s banana bread matcha flavor had nice warm toasty notes that paired well with the creaminess of their matcha. Make sure to catch them at @beyondberry_ 🍓🫐this Saturday for their popup prior to their new residency!
I finally got to try @lamacaronguy and the biscoff macaron should be complementary on every day, flight, and moment. While the twix macaron was a bit too chocolatey for my personal taste, l enjoyed the soft and delicate texture.
lol I realized i’m only describing the sweet stuff, but after walking and exploring for so long a lot of the savory foods got cold and didn’t taste as good as they could’ve had they been eaten right away!
ALSO TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO EARLY VOTE IN GA 🗳️

Lab Files Vol 1 version 1👩🏾‍🔬📂🧪

I’ve been wanting to make a chicken dish for so long. It’s been so long since I cooked an entire chicken, last time was around Covid so I had a lot of relearning to do. I kind of made this recipe my own and used a rough outline by researching techniques and the importance of each step. @theknightlybite gave some great tips and I added some dijon mustard in the sauce that I didn’t mention in the vid.

The sweet potato mash is a bit of a replica of one I made earlier, but I quickly improved this one by boiling a sweet potato and mashing it w salt, pepper, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and a tiny bit of cream cheese.

Overall, a really tasty dish that was super fun to make. I’m definitely going to be making this again soon bc it made my creativity spark, and I could really hone in on it🍲🐔

what’s your favorite side to go with a protein? by @aeatsss

another edition of bites and sips. i’m still working on perfecting my brown butter c^3 recipe. I’ve gotten a lot of feedback from it, but it’s not the texture I want it to be at! it’s still a bit too thin/ slightly too sweet for my liking ( although it’s not super sweet) so I need to play around with it more. I like my cookies a bit thicker than what mine came out to be. favorite home cooked meal? that salmon which was superb and held up so well days after. it’s hard to pick my favorite meal out in this, but i’ll focus on the dessert this time otherwise this caption will turn into a novel lol. The banana cream tart from Bar Ana was such a sweet surprise that I didn’t see coming— the warm, tropical banana paired alongside a solid shortbread like tart was both exquisite and delectable.

JenChan’s is something serious with a layering of flavors that works so well together. Sugar Loaf’s dabo biscuit found the perfect way to blend traditional Ethiopian spices with the tenderness of a quintessential Southern biscuit.

here I go writing more after that dessert part lol okay bye. (but this could really go on) 👩🏾‍🔬🥗🥩

do you prefer your cookies thinner or thicker? by @aeatsss

recent bites & sips! although, I think the laboratory ( 👩🏾‍🔬🧪👩🏾‍🍳) should be included in the name somehow. Here’s a quick glimpse at some eats, and it made me realize there’s not always a perfect emoji for everything like the baked goods.

trying new flavors and revisiting old ones is so fun! Too many stellar options, but the comfy chicken biscuit from @homegrownga blew me away w the first bite! I was so glad to have finally tried them, and the depth of flavors is that of a true comfort meal. The crispy and salty chicken exterior paired so well with the savory, buttery gravy.

I could go on and on about each specific slide, but the dessert standout is the cinnamon roll from @flourish.atl. It is pillowy, fluffy, nicely spiced, and gooey in just the right places.

The standout homecooked meal goes to the Peruvian inspired chicken and rice dish that my friend and I made.

One of my favorite things about cooking is the excitement and anticipation I get in trying new flavors, techniques, or creating a fun learning moment/ core memory. It’s also a double edged sword bc you don’t always know how a dish will turn out 🤣 so you gotta just see it through

which of these would you try? by @aeatsss

it’s not as common to find that many cool convenience stores that give you that nostalgic feel, so when I came across Pick and Choose, I knew I wanted to check it out.

Located conviently off the Southside Beltline trail, this new neighborhood business has snacks and drinks that you may need along your walk as well as unique collectibles and basic household things.

They had me at pac-man and arcade games🙂‍↕️

recent bites and sips! some here some there. I’m exploring or always in the laboratory 😎👩🏾‍🍳👩🏾‍🔬. Here lie only a few recent favs. I love old flavors and classics that evoke strong memories, but there’s also something special about discovering new flavors and places.

which would you try? by @aeatsss

here are some of my recent favorite bites and sips😇🍴🥗

matcha- Bearly Awake has recently become one of my favorite matcha popups. The matcha is smooth and creamy, but not too overpowering as it compliments the milk. This homemade peach syrup?? was amazing and i’m glad I tried something new bc it reminded me of summer with how sweet it was.

salad- Sometimes, all you just need to chop everything up and mix it in a bowl and call it a salad. I make any variations of this, but you can almost always find cucumber, onions, and chickpeas at the scene of the crime. I married all of these vegetables together with some pan seared chicken. To finish, I made a healthier chipotle adobo sauce ( not pictured). This held up pretty well and lasted me a whole week!

After trying Massaman Curry years ago, I fell in love with the flavors, and it’s one of my favorite curries. The warm and creamy soup is a beautiful myriad of warm Thai herbs and spices.

Brown Butter chocolate chip cookies! I’ve made this recipe probably half a dozen times now and the flavor is always amazing, but I keep experimenting with it each time so I have a different output. I’m trying to figure out the technique that works best. This batch was so amazing, but baked it on this silicone sheet for the first time which gave it a very crispy yet chewier exterior and interior.

I was intrigued when I saw African soup on the menu. Now, did this taste extremely authentic? No. But did it have hints of similar flavors i’ve had? yes! It was a unique flavor and i’d have it again! The soup held up pretty well for the next day.

This was so much fun to make. This will be another one of those dishes to continue to remake. I cooked broccolini here for the first time, and I was amazed with the flavor and the milder taste it has compared to broccoli.

I got the tuna which was the special. The tuna was too salty for my liking, but it was cooked nicely. A pickled onion is always a great addition to meals.

This was one of those fridge restock meals. I had a protein, a carb, and some fat. Lightly seasoned and seared some shrimp, and armed up a corn tortilla, added an avocado, and made a quick sauce

banana bread taste test!🍌

let me hear you say this 🤔 is bananas! but no seriously I love banana bread and it was one of the first things I perfected how to bake years ago, so of course when À la banane reached out, I had to give it a try! They rotate weekly drops in their respective cities of Alpharetta and DC so make sure to check out their page and try them!

personal ( or sharing🤣) sized banana breads that are perfectly moist and perfectly balanced reminding you of that classic, nostalgic taste w fun flavors!

brown butter chocolate chip won this round but let me know in the comments how you like your banana bread 🍌🍞💛🌻
