A week ago, I did the biggest dumbest ride I could think of… A winter solstice Everest on Mount Prevost

8851m, 31 hours, 28 laps, 126km, Snow and rain the entire time, 17 hours of darkness, rowdy trails, and my first time using Chamois butter.

I legitimately couldn’t have done it without my friends who kept me going throughout the hardest points of the ride @jake.paddon @elliotjamieson_ @spencer__young @max_mcculloch @liammmorgan @elijahbarron_ @oakmedia_bc @markwallacebike @seanbourquin ❤️

Thanks so much to @comoxvalleytoyota @occamdesigns @titlemtb @7meshinc @crankbrothers @akta_mtb @fullonlighting @lazy.sundays.studio 👀

Some weeks take every drop of energy you can offer, but those are usually the weeks that are the most special.

It’s so cool to see the culture of riding bikes so alive at home, and Im grateful to be able to share these moments with some of my closest friends.

It’s even cooler to see some of my friends achieve things they have dreamed of their entire lives. Just to be a part of that was insane.

Thanks to everyone that makes weeks like this possible. @jake.paddon @charliecochlin @lazy.sundays.studio @giantfactoryoffroadteam @fox

LIVE NOW: AGAINST BETTER JUDGEMENT - An Everest attempt like no other.

The original plan looked almost reasonable. Twenty-three laps. Around a day on the bike. Finish sometime after sunrise the following day, and do it as close to the shortest day as possible. Instead, it became twenty-seven laps, 126 kilometres, thirty-one hours, seventeen hours in darkness, freezing rain, fresh snow, numb feet, hallucinations, and enough small problems to end the ride early a dozen times over.

Tap the link in our bio to watch the full film now.

A massive thanks to the support crew: @elliotjamieson_, @spencer__young, @elijahbarron_, @oakmedia_bc, @seanbourquin

One of the many summer adventures of the past month.

80% hike a bike, 10% bike, 10% river crossings. 13 hours.

A few pieces from a fun mission last summer in the Kootenay backcountry with an insane crew. Crazy journey hauling in all the gear to make it happen, but definitely worth it in hindsight haha
