TEA WITH MUM is out exclusively on Subvert.fm @subvertworld 💗 A playful and dramatic House track that brings the quiet joy I feel drinking tea with my mum into the club. Someone asked me what my relationship with my mum is like and I remembered saying “time with her, we’re just straight chilling” Footage is from the @buzzspeakerhire company retreat bushdoof THUNDERBALL out in Sofala 🎥 thx Arron for videos 💌 by @aemyn

@aemyn.zines — I recently fell in love with zines as a form of diy publishing, to me it’s one of the most accessible & encouraging crafts I’ve ever tried. In a world of institution & prescribed authority, the experience of reading a little book made by a regular person is absolutely unheard of. With my zines I’ve been channeling experiences of love, work, grief and joy into something I can share with friends and strangers to quietly say “Hey, I see the love you feel, or I see the pain you carry — it’s ours! — And we can carry it together” 💌 A by @aemyn

it cannot go without saying that to be working on art right now as palest!n!an families face genoc!de is an immense privilege, that where one focuses their attention is not a passive action, and in this awareness me and many artists i know are seeking more ways to meaningfully respond and show up and support, and to be shaped by the reality of our world instead of hide away in fantasy & inaction what's happening right now is not some business as usual, small struggles between groups seen at a distance, we're seeing the systematic decimation of innocent people. it's going to take every voice at every level to demand our collective humanity be heard and dismantle the quiet machinery of violence taken in Gadigal Land by @aemyn

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: Emerald and Aemyn are a Queer folk duo making music on Gadigal and Wangal Land. In February they released their debut EP Precious Names. Each song Precious Names is an honest dedication to one of Emerald’s loved ones, and lays the foundation of a mutually vulnerable and trusting creative relationship. Aemyn’s sweet harmonies and supportive guitar lines are married with Emerald’s clear voice and grounded songwriting to form a true collaboration chronicling the lines between grief and joy, love and loss, romantic and platonic. Queer at heart and steeped in folk tradition, Precious Names at its core is a celebration of what it means to love and be loved. We’re so blessed that Emerald and Aemyn will be sharing some beautiful songs with us at the Crip Love Launch and Listening Party next Sunday ✨ All are welcome and this is a free event but we have limited capacity so registration is a must via the link in our bio x Image Description: In the centre a photo captures Emerald and Aemyn with joyful smiles while performing on stage. Behind the photo is a pastel pink, purple and green gradient background with hand drawn hearts, stars and dots scattered around. Towards the bottom of the poster text reads: Emerald and Aemyn; June 7; Gadigal Land. In the bottom left corner is the Randwick Council logo and the bottom right corner is the Crip Love logo designed by Emma Pham. by @aemyn
