This Halloween, you can count on Count Dracula to get some conditioning done. . 📹: @nicaerial . #aerialsilks #singaporeaerialist #aerialguys #aerialistover40 by @aerialfranc
Coming in at almost 5 minutes, this might just be the longest hammock choreo I’ve ever done! 😂 With a choreo this long, there’s certainly space for a big, scary drop. I knew I could count on @shirleyaerialist to add that kind of drama 😂 .  And getting up to the top to set it up was a challenge in itself! 💪✨ . The choreo looks so chill, but honestly, I think it's one of the hardest ones by @shirleyaerialist ! 😂 Those long holds on the left arm here and there already bring their own physical challenge. Then it was the various moves that really made my brain work overtime — front balance drop, backward flip, roll-up, shoefly, S-wrap with reverse eggbeater… 🫠 Each move came with its own little combo of body engagement, control, and coordination to remember. A good reminder that just because a choreo looks effortless doesn’t mean it is! 😂💪✨ . 🎶: "Interstellar Violin" by @dmichel_lebmusic , Ted D'Souza . Still a rope baby, even though I first tried it back in 2024 (I think?). 😂 Maybe a part of me just isn't ready to grow up yet, because that honeymoon phase of playing with a new apparatus is just SO sweet and fun! I'm sure there'll come a day when the moves get tiring and the sequences get complicated. But for now, this little rope-baby journey deserves a spot on my 'gram. 🥹✨ Can't wait for more rope classes by @shirleyaerialist too! . Omg, why is it October already?! . Loved trying out this recent hoop flip sequence from @k.jennni while adding my own little flair to it. . #aerialhoop  #singaporeaerialist #aerialguys #aerialistover40 by @aerialfranc
Ran through a sequence I picked up from a workshop by @pragon_wee last year. Happy to have squeezed this good aerial prac in before I go on a holiday! . Background 🎵: "stay a little longer" by @roses_are_rosie . #aerialhammock  #singaporeaerialist #aerialguys #aerialistover40 by @aerialfranc

Joining the lineup of aerial performers at the Bornfire Festival by @bornfiresingapore this week is Celeste @flyingtrashcannot ! In a meetup just before one of her practices, I got her to share on how she got into aerial and then into aerial teaching. She also let me in on how she’s been preparing for the show and what she hopes the audience will take away from her performance. I was lucky to see her rehearsed run afterwards – and wow, her act is NOT to be missed! There was an aerial segment that went up 30 metres at this year’s NDP. Then there were aerial performances showcasing different disciplines at the Singapore Night Festival last week. And this is NOT the end yet! More aerial acts are coming up, at the Bornfire Festival by @bornfiresingapore this week! Amidst all this excitement, I managed to catch Patrick @pad.tricks for a short chat on his upcoming appearance at the Bornfire Festival. Join me in hearing about what he will be presenting, the challenges in his act preparation, as well as his thoughts on the broader role of aerial arts in society. Catch the performances by Patrick and other aerialists: 4 Sep 2026 FRIDAY 7.30-8.45pm 5 Sep 2026 SATURDAY 7.00-9.00pm Place: *SCAPE, Plaza (outdoor deck at the main entrance of *SCAPE) . #hangingoutwith #SingaporeAerialist #Aerialistsofsg by @aerialfranc
In what will be a first for the Singapore Night Festival, Elizabeth @whattheflyingfig and Kay @cadencecycc are joining forces to present a duo hoop performance! With them coming from different parts of the aerial community, their collaboration is a celebration of connection, creativity and what’s possible when different perspectives come together.  What story is behind their act? What was the collaboration like? And what could the aerial performances at this year’s @sgnightfest mean for future opportunities to explore more of our region’s folklore? I got Elizabeth to share! Watch Elizabeth and Kay debut their duo performance: Date: 29 Aug (Sat) Time: 7.35PM & 9.05PM Place: Outdoor lawn of the National Museum of Singapore, beside the children’s playground . #hangingoutwith #SingaporeAerialist #Aerialistsofsg by @aerialfranc
