Hello and a big welcome! I’m Clíodhna (pronounced Cli-uh-na), and I wanted to take a moment to properly reintroduce myself—especially with all the new faces here since the opening of my clinic.
I relocated from Cork, Ireland, to Melbourne in 2019, and I absolutely love living in this fun, vibrant city! I graduated with a BSc in General Nursing from University College Cork in 2018 and most recently completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine in March 2024.
Aesthetics has always been a part of my life—growing up, I was surrounded by this incredible industry. My mother, one of Ireland’s pioneers in aesthetic medicine, has been a constant inspiration. As a trainer for a leading pharmaceutical company, she’s instilled in me the importance of skill, integrity, and patient care—values I carry into my own practice.
I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some amazing injectors in two fantastic clinics here in Melbourne. My time in both has been invaluable, and I’ve learned so much as a practitioner. In November 2024, I took the leap and opened my own clinic in St Kilda, and I’m loving every minute of this new chapter!
I can’t wait to meet new and returning patients and welcome you all into this beautiful, calming space. Here’s to the exciting journey ahead! by @aesthetic_nurse_cli

Excited to share that my postgraduate diploma certificate arrived today! I’m grateful for this achievement and proud to have earned a distinction. The journey was challenging, but I enjoyed every moment learning about this ever-evolving industry 👩🏼‍🎓🥳 by @aesthetic_nurse_cli

Will I bruise?

Short answer: high possibility

The face is incredibly vascular, with a complex network of arteries and veins (as shown here). Even with the most careful technique, avoiding every tiny vessel isn’t always possible.

Bruising can happen with any injectable treatment.

What we can control:
• Advanced anatomical knowledge
• Safe injection techniques
• Appropriate product placement
• Minimising trauma as much as possible

What you can do:
• Avoid alcohol & blood-thinning supplements before your appointment
• Follow aftercare closely
• Plan treatments with a little downtime, just in case

Most bruising is mild and temporary but it’s a normal part of the process for some patients.

As always, your safety comes first 🙌🏼 by @aesthetic_nurse_cli

The orbicularis oculi muscle surrounds the eye and is responsible for those crow’s feet lines when we smile.

Over time, repeated movement can contribute to these lines becoming more noticeable.

If this is something you’re concerned about, we can discuss this further during a personalised consultation by @aesthetic_nurse_cli
