It’s more than a screening. It’s about seeing the whole picture!

At Mission of Sight, our commitment to children’s eye health goes beyond simply checking whether a child can see the letters on a chart.

A vision screening can identify a potential concern, but a comprehensive eye exam helps us understand the health of the eyes, identify vision problems, and detect conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Every child deserves the opportunity to see clearly, learn confidently, and reach their full potential. That’s why we’re committed to providing thorough, comprehensive eye care. taken in Treasure Beach by @afjcares

From devastation to transformation. 💜🇯🇲

Last week, we celebrated the handover of the newly rebuilt Cove Primary School in Hanover, following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Through it all, the Cove Primary community showed extraordinary resilience - with students even continuing lessons under umbrellas when the rain came.

Supported by J$52.1 million in funding from AFJ, alongside the commitment of our partners and the wider school community, Cove Primary has been rebuilt stronger, more modern and more resilient.

This is what it means to build back better. 💜🇯🇲

NET continues to impact education, one donation at a time. Yesterday, we joined our partners for the official handover of the Cove Primary & Infant School Recovery Project in Hanover.

Led by the Sandals Foundation and American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ), together with its donors, in collaboration with the National Education Trust (NET) and the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, the project represents an investment of more than US$300,000 to restore and strengthen the school following Hurricane Melissa.

Together, we’re creating stronger, more resilient spaces for Jamaica’s students to learn, grow and thrive. 🇯🇲
