#WorkingWithDisability - providing vital equipment, education & employment training for children and young people who are disabled and neurodiverse.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Meet Lacey. Lacey is 11 years old. She’s gearing up to start secondary school in September and can’t wait to learn more about art, science and maths. 👩‍🔬

At home, when Lacey isn’t playing with her dog, Zelda, you can find her gaming, reading or playing the piano. 🎮

Lacey also has mobility issues. We met Lacey last year after her mum searched for charities that could help meet her mobility needs. We’ve got to know every little thing that makes her tick - because those small details make her who she is, and that directly feeds into the support we offer her. 💜

Please share Lacey’s story and help us give more ‘little BIG’ support to young people like Lacey.

Our new campaign is called ‘little BIG’ support, and it’s powered by incredibly kind people like you.

Whether it’s Lacey’s passion for fashion, or Matthew’s love of the theatre, here at AFK we get to know every little thing that’s important to the young people we work with. And every time you donate, you’ll help us equip them with the big, tailored support they need to chase their dreams 💫

Follow the link in our bio to find out more about the campaign and help us support more young people with disabilities or autism to live more independent lives.

To empower children and young people with disabilities and autism to dream BIG, we believe we need to think small.

We do that by getting to know every little thing that makes the young people we work with the wonderful individuals they are. We tailor our support to meet their very specific needs, interests and ambitions, equipping them with exactly what they require. This is everything from bespoke powered wheelchairs and specialised trikes, to skills training for life beyond school and the exciting world of work.

We show them how little everyday victories can add up to something far bigger than even they could ever imagine.

Visit our website through the link in our bio to find out more about how we support young people to live a more independent life and chase their dreams 💜

Thanks a million, everyone. We're so proud to have you on Team AFK! 🏃‍♂️💜

Inspiring future baristas in Tottenham!
Today we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Antwan from @afkcharity at Cafe Lemon for an introductory barista session! He spent the hour getting a hands-on feel for the espresso machine, learning how coffee is made, and exploring what it takes to be a barista.

Antwan brought incredible enthusiasm to the workshop, and watching young local talent discover a passion for coffee is what our community is all about.

Wishing Antwan all the best as he takes his next steps!
