Who am I?

For anyone new to my page or for anyone interested.

My name is Adrian aka A Friend For Frank fka Thorts.

I'm a soon to be 47yo music artist who resides in Bunbury, Western Australia.

I've released 23 albums/eps since 2005.

In 2024 I changed my name to A Friend For Frank and started writing music with my good friend @calqtek who resides in Arizona.

With him on production and me on the vocals together we are @62_deadballoons

We released our debut ep in April 2026 and are currently working on our 2nd.

I don't know what I'm doing musically right now but I'm enjoying the process. I might make hip hop again one day is some form or another, I don't know. I'm just doing what I want and what feels natural to me.

I make music for me. If others enjoy some of it then it's a bonus.

I strive to be the best version of myself and to always be true to myself and not give a flying fuck what other people think although at times that can be difficult.

I'm a huge geography nerd and if I didn't have to work I would spend all of my time travelling the world and creating art.

The world and the people in it fascinate me but also confuse the fuck out of me at the same time.

In the near future I will be teaching myself production & mixing as I've always had a goal in my head to be fully self sufficient by the age of 50 and that's only 3 years away so I better get to it!

For anyone interested you can find all of my older work on my Thorts Bandcamp page & my new music is on my 62 Dead Balloons Bandcamp page. All of my music is also available through streaming services. I've also got a YouTube channel called AFFF Music that has all of my current videos and older ones going back to 2005.

I also love making my own home made music videos and photography so I'll be doing more of that in the future also.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me personally and my music over all of the years, it means the world to me!

I'll stop creating when my heart stops.

I've been taking a mental health break

I will hopefully be starting on recording our 2nd 62 𝕯𝖊𝖆𝖉 𝕭𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖓𝖘 ep very soon! The songs are written, the music is made and it sounds beautiful if I say so myself...

This is a song I made last year. This was my first attempt at making a song that wasn't hip hop after making nothing but hip hop for 29 years. I produced & mixed this myself. It's not the best but it's all me so I'm proud of it.

I used the name Thorts for 29 years then made this under the name Poppa Thorts but then quickly changed it to A Friend For Frank straight after lol

I plan on teaching myself how to make my own music and get a lot better at it. Creating art makes me feel something that nothing else comes close to.

Anyways.

Talk later

Don't count my brief moment of disbelief as enthusiastic approval! This is going out to the algorithm lol

The older I get the less tolerant I am towards the world and social media, I find nearly everything cringe these days and I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older and more angry and bitter or if it's because I'm autistic and strange

At any rate here is a band I recently found. They're from Minnesota and only released these 2 songs in 1967, I found them on YouTube. "I'm a living sickness" blows my mind and seems way ahead of it's time. If there are any weirdos like me out there who like weird obscure music, I suggest going to YouTube and giving it a listen!
