Hello, my name is Stephanie! I’d like to share some of the things I’m passionate about: medicine, fitness, dance, cooking, health, and mental health advocacy, and more recently, ai. My culture and community are incredibly important to me. I’m proud of my West African Nigerian heritage, and I come from the Igbo tribe. I was raised in Wisconsin of all places 🧀

I’ve found a way to blend fitness with my culture by creating a fun dance class. My core values include spontaneity, generosity, positivity, joy, and inclusivity. Having experienced isolation, I know the importance of belonging, and it’s a crucial part of my journey and career path.

I’m always eager to learn, and recently, I’ve been exploring AI. Despite the controversies, I see its potential to level the playing field for those who have faced systemic disadvantages.

I want to give a special shout-out to my mother, who introduced me to dance when she first moved here—starting with African dance, then ballet, cheer, Zumba, and many other styles. My aunt inspired me with salsa and bachata, deepening my love for movement. To me, movement is medicine -it helps navigate life’s challenges, and there’s plenty of neuroscience to back that up.

I’m also a military veteran, and service is a core part of who I am. Thank you so much for following my journey. I hope we can grow and learn together. Have a beautiful day, and happy Mother’s Day to everyone who celebrates!
