LOOK WHAT GOD DID IN UTAH! 🙌🏾✈️🎶🇩🇲

From Massachusetts all the way to Salt Lake City — and I got to experience it with my son, Malachi on the Sax. 🎷❤️

Standing together on the Afro Utah Fest stage, sharing music that points people toward God, hope, joy, and inspiration… this is a moment I’ll never forget.

And this one was BIG for us: our first booking outside of Massachusetts together! 🌎

Thank you, @afroutah Fest, for opening your stage to us. We’re praying for more opportunities to travel, connect with new audiences, and share this gift wherever God sends us next. 🙏🏾

What an unforgettable celebration of culture, community, and connection!

From fashion and dance to drumming, Afrobeats dance lessons, a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, a jollof rice competition, and so much more, Afro Utah was truly special. And our incredible headliner, Pumpa, brought the 🔥🔥🔥 all the way from the U.S. Virgin Islands!

Seeing our community come together to celebrate Afro cultures and support local small businesses filled us with so much joy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors for their continued support, our vendors who show up year after year, our volunteers who dedicate countless hours, and every community member who joined us. You are the reason we do what we do, and we are deeply grateful for you.

A huge shoutout to the Afro Utah Festival and GK Folks Foundation team, along with everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. You truly outdid yourselves this year. Your hard work, passion, and dedication were seen, heard, and felt throughout the entire festival.

Thank you for making Afro Utah a tremendous success. More pictures and videos are coming soon! ❤️

Triple salute to @cecebandit , one of the true ambassadors of African music and culture from across the world.

There’s a reason our sound continues to travel from the continent to every corner of the globe. She doesn’t just promote the music, she teaches people how to understand it, respect it, and immerse themselves in the culture behind it.

That’s more than promotion.
That’s cultural stewardship.
