If you’re looking for a gift idea for around $50, this one is so easy to recreate and works beautifully for a housewarming, birthday or anyone who loves spending time in the kitchen!I started with the Thistle Recipe Stand from @provincialhomeliving (currently on sale for $32), then added a recipe journal from Kmart ($12). If you’re the one who’s always nominated to organise the group gift and you’re wondering how to present a hotel voucher in a more thoughtful way, this idea might be for you. 🤍I was inspired by the beautiful coastal vibe of @seaseahotel and wanted the gift to feel like an extension of the stay.So instead of simply handing over a hotel voucher, I created a custom linen gift box, added a Kodak mini digital camera to capture the memories, and put together a little welcome pack with an itinerary inspired by the hotel and everything there is to do nearby.Such a beautiful way to turn a hotel voucher into an experience that sets the tone for the weekend ahead.#giftideas #experience #hotel #travel by @afterhoursgifting

I found these little drawer boxes on Amazon for just $1 each!To make them feel more special, I added a ribbon pull handle before assembling the drawer. Simply cut a small slit in one side of the tray, thread your ribbon through and secure it on the inside with glue. I’ve had so many requests for Toy Story party favour ideas, so I wanted to create something inspired by one of the most iconic scenes… The Claw. 💫I found these rocket-shaped favour boxes on Amazon and thought the windows on the box were perfect for recreating the claw machine.Using Canva, I designed character printables with Woody, Buzz and the aliens so it looked like they were peeking through the glass of the claw machine.I also designed the Pizza Planet gift tags in Canva and printed theme.Here’s everything I used:• Rocket-shaped favour boxes from Amazon: $9 for 8• Alien bath bombs from Kmart: $12 for 9• Pizza Planet initial keyrings from Smiggle: $14.95 each or buy 2, get the 3rd free• Red ribbon• Printed character faces + gift tags• Double-sided tape rollerHow I made them:1. Start by designing and printing your character faces and gift tags. I used Woody, Buzz and two aliens.2. Cut out each character and secure one to each of the circular windows on the favour box so they look like they’re peeking through the glass of the claw machine.3. Assemble the favour boxes.4. For the gifts inside, I attached an alien bath bomb to the claw keyring.5. Place everything inside the box.6. Close the box, attach the gift tag and finish with red ribbon.7. Repeat for all your favours and you’re done.If you want to make these more budget friendly, you could skip the keyring and simply include the alien bath bomb with a few sweet treats instead.Cost per favour:• Premium version with key ring: $12.43–$17.41 each (depending on Smiggle sale)• Budget version with sweets added: approx. $4–$4.50 eachSuch a fun favour idea for any Toy Story fan and surprisingly simple to put together once all your printables are ready. 🚀#giftideas #toystory #gifts #party #birthday by @afterhoursgifting

I love this kids tea set from IKEA for just $10, but I wanted to make gifting it feel a little more special.So instead of gifting the tea set on its own, I turned it into a personalised tea party setup that doubles as an invitation for imaginative play. The kind of gift that feels fun to open, but even more fun to set up and play with.Everything included:• IKEA kids tea set ($10)• 2 x flower-shaped candle dishes from IKEA ($1.50 each, used as cake plates)• 4 x DIY pretend cupcakes• Pink sign holder from IKEA ($1.50)• Personalised café signs (I printed 2)• Pink ruffle tablecloth from Amazon ($11)• Woven pink basket from Spotlight ($15 on sale)• Ribbon + bow for finishingFor the cupcakes, I kept it super simple and made them using mini cupcake cases, pom poms and a few gems for sprinkles.For the café signs, I actually printed two. One goes straight into the sign holder for when the tea party is set up. The second is used on the outside of the basket with a bow for gifting. Once opened, this can also go into the back of the sign holder so the sign is double-sided when displayed.A quick note if you’re recreating this:I didn’t show the sign holder being packed into the basket in the video, but you’ll need to dismantle it first and place it into the bottom of the basket. I layered the pink tablecloth over the top to create a soft cushion for the cups and plates, then packed everything in the order shown in the video.Once gifted, all that’s left to do is set up the table, invite the teddies and dolls, and let the tea party begin ☕️🩷#giftideas #gifts #birthday by @afterhoursgifting

I recently spotted a margarita buttercream recipe in the RecipeTin Eats cookbook, it had tequila, lime and salt in it. That gave me the idea to turn it into a birthday gift.I’ve always loved cake and champagne for special celebrations, and this felt like a fun alternative.On one side, I added a mini cake with lime curd through the middle and margarita buttercream on the outside. On the other, I built a Tommy’s Margarita kit with a cocktail shaker, tequila, agave syrup, fresh limes and Tajin seasoning.And this carry gift box is what really makes the whole idea work. It keeps everything beautifully presented and makes gifting cake and cocktails feel effortless.A few details if you’re planning to recreate this:• Total spend for mine was around $75, but this will depend on what you already have at home• I used a store-bought sponge cake to keep things easy• The margarita buttercream recipe is from the @recipe_tin Eats cookbook (genuinely one of my favourite cookbooks)• The carry gift box is from Temu. I love a beautiful bottle of champagne as a host gift, but sometimes it’s nice to gift something a little different.I simply went to my local grocer and built this gift around a few elevated pantry staples. I chose pasta, extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, smoked paprika, an Ottolenghi spice blend, and added fresh lemons to bring in colour and freshness.What made this especially easy to pull together was starting with the basket.I took this mini wire basket from Provincial Home Living with me to the grocer and selected items that fit as I shopped. That meant the presentation came together naturally because every item was chosen with both function and styling in mind.I think that’s such a helpful tip when building smaller gift baskets. One of my favourite parts of creating gifts is taking inspiration from experiences and finding a way to recreate them at home.For this one, I was inspired by the thermal spas of Vichy, France, the birthplace of Vichy skincare, and the idea of gifting someone a little moment of self care.I started with a stone tray and added some of the touches you’d expect from a bath house experience: soft towels, mineral water, a body brush and the Vichy LiftActiv Collagen Specialist 16 range.The thing I love about this gift is that you’re not just gifting skincare.
